Abstract

The world of cinema in Indonesia, especially in the animation genre does tend to develop slowly. However, recently an educative children's animated show titled "Nussa" appeared. This animation, created by Mario Irwinsyah, raised the value of Disability with and has a specific reason why Nussa is described in such a way. He explained that there are children like Nussa who we must be able to accept as normal as possible. Referring to this background, this research aims to answer the research question, which is the extent of students' perceptions of disabilities in Nussa animation on Youtube? This research is descriptive with a quantitative approach, the method used is a survey. The sample technique used was Purposive Sampling and Total Sampling techniques, with 98 respondents. Data collection methods used are primary data in the form of questionnaires and secondary. The theory in this study uses the Stimulus-Response Theory. The S-O-R principle assumes that information messages prepared by the media are then distributed systematically on a broad scale. Then a large number of individuals will respond to that information. The results of the study of the parents' perceptions of students get the calculation results with a frequency of 33 respondents or (34%) states pay attention, interest, and know. Then as many as 62 respondents or (63%) said they were very attentive, very interesting, and very knowledgeable. This means that respondents have a "POSITIVE" and "VERY POSITIVE" perception of disability in the "Nussa" animation. Key Word: Perception, Disability, Animation, Nussa, Youtube. Dunia perfilman di Indonesia, khususnya dalam genre animasi memang cenderung berkembang lambat. Namun, baru-baru ini muncul tayangan animasi anak yang edukatif berjudul “Nussa”. Animasi yang digarap oleh Mario Irwinsyah ini mengangkat nilai Disabilitas dengan dan memiliki alasan khusus mengapa Nussa digambarkan dengan sedemikian rupa. Ia menjelaskan bahwa ada anak-anak seperti Nussa yang mana kita harus dapat menerima mereka senormal mungkin. Merujuk dari latar belakang tersebut, maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjawab pertanyaan penelitian, yaitu sejauh mana persepsi orang tua murid terhadap disabilitas dalam animasi Nussa di Youtube? Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, metode yang digunakan adalah survei. Teknik sampel yang digunakan adalah teknik Purposive Sampling dan Total Sampling, dengan jumlah responden 98 orang. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah data primer berupa angket dan sekunder. Teori pada penelitian ini menggunakan Teori Stimulus-Respons. Prinsip S-OR mengasumsikan bahwa pesan informasi dipersiapkan oleh media yang kemudian didistribusikan secara sistematis dalam skala yang luas. Kemudian sejumlah besar individu akan merespon informasi tersebut. Hasil penelitian dari persepsi orang tua murid mendapatkan hasil perhitungan dengan frekuensi sebanyak 33 responden atau (34%) menyatakan memperhatikan, menarik, dan mengetahui. Lalu sebanyak 62 responden atau (63%) menyatakan sangat memperhatikan, sangat menarik, dan sangat mengetahui. Ini berarti responden memiliki persepsi yang “POSITIF” dan “SANGAT POSITIF” terhadap disabilitas dalam animasi “Nussa”. Kata Kunci: Persepsi, Disabilitas, Animasi Nussa, Youtube.
