Abstract

The development in the manufacturing industry is increasing, this can be seen from the very tight business competition. The company will compete to meet customer demand by increasing the amount of production. Nonetheless, setting too much inventory will result in a waste of storage costs, while setting too little inventory also results in the loss of the opportunity to get a profit if the customer's demand exceeds the demand expected by the company. PT. Argo Pantes Tbk. is a company engaged in integrated engineering industry, producing yarn from natural cotton or cotton blends with polyester, gray fabric to finished fabric. This makes the company must be precise and fast in planning and controlling inventory in order to maximize the material in the production process. The data taken is raw material demand data for HIDROGEN PEROXIDA during the period January – December 2018. This study uses 3 forecasting methods namely Single Exponential Smoothing (SES), Moving Average (MA) and Weight Moving Average (WMA) and uses 3 Lot Sizing Techniques namely Lot For Lot (LFL), Period Order Quantity (POQ) and Economic Order Quantity (EOQ). Of the three permalan methods, the Single Exponential Smoothing (SES) method is the method chosen because it has the smallest error value. While from the calculation of the Sizing Lot Technique, it was found that the Lot For Lot (LFL) method had the lowest cost compared to the other three Lot Sizing Technique methods, namely with a total cost of Rp 240,000,000. Perusahaan akan bersaing untuk memenuhi permintaan pelanggan dengan meningkatkan jumlah produksi. Meskipun demikian, menetapkan jumlah persediaan yang terlalu banyak akan mengakibatkan pemborosan biaya penyimpanan, sedangkan menetapkan jumlah persediaan yang terlalu sedikit juga berakibat hilangnya kesempatan untuk mendapatkan keuntungan apabila permintaan pelanggan melebihi permintaan yang diperkirakan oleh perusahaan. PT. Argo Pantes Tbk. adalah perusahaan yang bergerak dalambidang Industri tesktil terpadu, memproduksi benang dari kapas alam atau campuran kapas dengan poliester, kain grey dengan cairan kimia hingga kain jadi. Hal ini membuat perusahaan harus tepat dan cepat dalam melakukan perencanaan dan pengendalian persediaan agar dapat memaksimalkan bahan baku dalam proses produksi. Data yang diambil adalah data permintaan bahan baku Cairan Hidrogen Peroxida selama periode Januari - Desember 2018. Penelitian ini menggunakan 3 metode peramalan yaitu Single Exponential Smoothing (SES), Moving Average (MA) dan Weight Moving Average (WMA) serta menggunakan 3 Teknik Lot Sizing yaitu Lot For Lot (LFL), Period Order Quantity (POQ) dan Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) . Dari ketiga metode permalan tersebut, metode Single Exponential Smoothing (SES) adalah metode yang dipilih karena memiliki nilai kesalahan terkecil, didapatkan hasil bahwametode Lot For Lot (LFL) memilki biaya terendah dibandingkan dengan ketiga metode Teknik Lot Sizing yang lain yaitu dengan total biaya sebesar Rp 240.000.000.
