Abstract

Public Relations plays a very important role in maintaining the company's image. The company crisis that occurred by PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, which was the Protests of Tank Crew from the period May 2017 - March 2019, affected the reporting in the media which impacted on the creation of public opinion thereby reducing the company's image in the public eye. In conducting communication activities, it is important to communicate with the Public Relations Model so that the message can be conveyed well to the public. This study aims to get an overview of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga's Models Public relations in explaining the Action of Tank Crew Protest for the period May 2017 - March 2019 to the public. This research uses a qualitative approach. The paradigm used is constructivism with qualitative case study research methods. Data collection techniques using in-depth interviews and observation techniques. Interviews were conducted with seven informants who were employees of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga who were involved in handling and decision-making related to the Action of Tank Crew Protest for the period May 2017 - March 2019. The results of this study explain the use of the Grunig and Hunt’s Models Public Relations implemented by PT Pertamina Patra Niaga in explaining the Action of Tank Crew Protest for the period May 2017 - March 2019 to the Public. Researchers conclude that the Grunig and Hunt’s Model Public Relations implemented by practitioner PR PT Pertamina Patra Niaga in explaining the Action of Tank Crew Protest for the period May 2017 - March 2019 is Public Information. In the Public Information Models Public Relations of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga the communication process occurs with a stimulus that gives a message through the media to the public and impacts on the company, the company responds in the form of messages through the media to the public. Keywords: Public Relations, Public Opinion, Citra, Company Image, Corporate Crisis, Models Public relations, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Public Relations berperan sangat penting untuk mempertahankan citra perusahaan. Krisis Perusahaan yang terjadi PT Pertamina Patra Niaga yaitu Aksi Protes Awak Mobil Tanki periode Mei 2017 – Maret 2019 mempengaruhi pemberitaan di media yang berdampak pada terciptanya opini publik sehingga menurunkan citra perusahaan di mata publik. Dalam melakukan aktivitas komunikasi, Model Komunikasi Public Relations penting dilakukan agar pesan dapat tersampaikan dengan baik kepada khalayak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapat gambaran tentang Model Komunikasi PR PT Pertamina Patra Niaga dalam menjelaskan Aksi Protes Awak Mobil Tanki (AMT) periode Mei 2017 – Maret 2019 kepada Khalayak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Peradigma yang digunakan adalah konstruktivisme dengan metode penelitian studi kasus-kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data informan yang merupakan pekerja PT Pertamina Patra Niaga yang terlibat dalam penanganan dan pengambilan keputusan yang berkaitan dengan Aksi Protes Awak Mobil Tangki (AMT) periode Mei 2017 – Maret 2019. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan penggunaan Model Komunikasi PR Grunig and Hunt yang diterapkan oleh PT Pertamina Patra Niaga dalam menjelaskan Aksi Protes Awak Mobil Tanki (AMT) periode Mei 2017 – Maret 2019 kepada Khalayak. Peneliti menyimpulakn bahawa Model Komunikasi PR Grunig and Hunt yang diterapkan oleh praktisi PR PT Pertamina Patra Niaga dalam menjelaskan Aksi Protes Awak Mobil Tanki (AMT) periode Mei 2017 – Maret 2019 adalah Informasi Publik. Pada Model Komunikasi PR Informasi Publik PT Pertamina Patra Niaga proses komunikasi terjadi dengan adanya Stimulus yang memberikan pesan melalui media kepada publik dan berdampak kepada perusahaan, perusahaan memberikan renspons berupa pesan melalui media kepada publik.
