Abstract

The need for housing, which continues to increase along with the increasing rate of urbanization in urban areas, has made less land for settlements. As a result, many low-income urbanized people live in uninhabitable slums due to the high price of available habitable land. The construction of low cost housing is a solution that can be used to maximize limited land into comfortable housing. The social life of an urbanized society that is mutually cooperative can also be maintained by adding open spaces and communal spaces. The use of Energy-Efficient Architectural concepts is applied to building designs. By maximizing the opening to include ventilation and natural lighting, residents can reduce the use of commercialized natural resources. Keywords: Low Cost Housing, Energy-Efficient Architecture Kebutuhan akan hunian yang terus meningkat seiring dengan naiknya laju urbanisasi pada daerah perkotaan membuat semakin menipisnya lahan untuk permukiman. Akibatnya banyak masyarakat urbanisasi berpenghasilan rendah yang tinggal di permukiman kumuh tak layak huni karena mahalnya harga lahan layak huni yang tersedia. Pembangunan rumah susun hak milik atau rusunami solusi yang dapat digunakan untuk memaksimalkan lahan terbatas menjadi hunian yang nyaman. Kehidupan sosial masyarakat urbanisasi yang saling gotong royong juga dapat dipertahankan dengan ditambahankannya ruang terbuka dan ruang komunal. Penggunaan konsep arsitektur hemat energi diterapkan pada rancangan bangunan. Dengan memaksimalkan bukaan untuk memasukan penghawaan dan pencahayaan alami, penghuni dapat mengurangi penggunaan sumber daya alam yang dikomersilkan.
