Abstract

This research was done in the Centre for Communication and Information Technology (PUSTIKKP), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. This research aims at identifying and analyzing the impacts of a combination of work load, compensation and working environment in the Centre to the employees’ work satisfaction. The data for the research was gathered through questionnaires sampling which targeted the Centre’s employees by on-line and manual systems. Out of the Centre’s 202 employees, there was 136 persons responded the questionnaires. The data of those questionnaires were then examined in view of the data quality test (validity and reliability), classical assumption test (normality, multicolinearity and Heteroscedasticity) and hypothesis test (f and t as well as determinative coefficient), and subsequently examined with multiple linear regression analysis. Finally, the research concluded that there is a positive and significant impact of the combined work load, compensation and working environment towards the employees’ work satisfaction. This also suggests that a better work load, compensation and working environment provided at the Centre will eventually increase the work satisfaction among its employees. Keywords: work load, compensation, working environment, job satisfaction Penelitian ini dilakukan di Pusat Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi Kementerian dan Perwakilan (PUSTIKKP) Kementerian Luar Negeri. Tujuan dari Penelitian adalah mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh beban kerja, kompensasi dan lingkungan kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja pegawai. Pengambilan data penelitian dilakukan dengan cara menyebarkan kuesioner baik secara manual maupun via online kepada Pegawai Negeri Sipil yang berada di PUSTIKKP Kementerian Luar Negeri dengan menyebarkan kuesioner penelitian kepada 136 responden dari populasi sebanyak 202 pegawai. Data yang dikumpulkan kemudian dilakukan uji penelitian yang terdiri dari uji kualitas data (uji validitas dan reliabilitas), uji asumsi klasik (uji normalitas, uji multikolinearitas dan heteroskadestisitas) dan uji hipotesis (berupa uji f, uji t dan koefisien determinasi) lalu dilakukan analisis regresi linier berganda. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh hasil bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara beban kerja, kompensasi dan lingkungan kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin baik beban kerja, kompensasi dan lingkungan kerja pada PUSTIKKP Kementerian Luar Negeri maka semakin tinggi pula kepuasan kerja yang dimiliki pegawai.
