Abstract
In this globalization era, companies are increasingly required to provide reliable performance in serving customer/stakeholder needs. Service to customers/stake- holders is absolutely based on the employee’s spirit and work quality, therefore, it is very important for the companies to always improve the employee’s performance. This study aims to examine and analyze the effects of transformational leadership and job satisfaction on employee performance in the Human Capital Management System Division PT PLN (Persero) Kantor Pusat. This was quantitative research using survey method, population research at the Human Capital Management System Division PT PLN (Persero) Kantor Pusat. The sampling technique is nonprobability sampling with saturated samples. This study used multiple linear regression method. The research results show that transformational leadership partially affects positively but not significantly on employee performance, as well as partially job satisfaction affects positively but not significantly on employee performance. The research results also show that simultaneously transformational leadership and job satisfaction affects positively but less significantly on employee performance. Suggested to improve the quality of leaders who are able to provide clear key performance indicators, coaching, mentoring dan counselling, effective communication and relationship between leaders and staffs, and evaluated compensation. Keywords: Transformational Leadership, Job Satisfaction, Employee Performance Dalam era globalisasi, perusahaan semakin dituntut untuk menampilkan kinerja yang handal dalam melayani kebutuhan pelanggan/stakeholders. Pelayanan terhadap pelanggan/stakeholders ini tentunya bertumpu pada semangat dan kualitas kerja para pegawai, sehingga sangat penting bagi perusahaan untuk selalu meningkatkan kinerja pegawainya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional dan kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai pada Divisi Human Capital Management System PT PLN (Persero) Kantor Pusat. Jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode survey, populasi penelitian pada Divisi Human Capital Management System PT PLN (Persero) Kantor Pusat. Teknik pengambilan sampel nonprobability sampling dengan sampel jenuh. Analisis data dengan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian secara parsial kepemimpinan transformasional berpengaruh positif namun tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai dan secara parsial kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif namun tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, sedangkan secara bersama-sama (simultan) kepemimpinan transformasional dan kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif namun tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Disarankan meningkatkan kualitas pemimpin yang mampu memberikan target kinerja atau key performance indicator yang jelas dan terstruktur, melaksanakan coaching, mentoring dan counselling, menjaga komunikasi/ hubungan yang baik antara pemimpin dengan pegawainya serta melakukan perbaikan kompensasi.
