Abstract
SYN Flooding attack merupakan istilah teknologi informasi yang mengarah kepada salah satu jenis serangan DoS / DDoS yang menggunakan paket SYN. SYN Flood memanfaatkan 'loophole' pada saat pembentukan atau pembuatan koneksi TCP/IP. Menaikkan ukuran backlog (net. ipv4.max_tcp_syn_backlog) pada web server merupakan solusi sementara. Dibutuhkan rules pada firewall yang mengaktifkan syncookies pada perangkat jaringan yang berada diantara jaringan internal dan eksternal (publik) terbukti mampu memfilter dan mencegah serangan SYN Flood. Kata Kunci : SYN Flood, Syncookies, Backlog, Leaf-Router SYN Flooding attack is an information technology term that leads to one type of DoS / DDoS attack using a SYN packet. SYN Flood utilizes a 'loophole' at the time of establishing or establishing a TCP / IP connection. Raising the size of the backlog (net.ipv4.max_tcp_syn_backlog) on a web server is a temporary solution. Required rules on firewalls that enable syncookies on network devices between internal and external networks (public) proved able to filter and prevent SYN Flood attacks.
