Abstract

This applicative thesis entitled Editing Techniques in dr. Romli Film. This film was made because it was inspired by the doctor from the United States Blake Charlton who suffered from dyslesxia. Dyslexia itself is a disorder in the human brain where people who experience it get disturbed in reading a sentence or words. This applicative thesis uses several techniques in image editing, namely continuity editing, classical cutting, other editing techniques, split editing and discontinuity editing. In editing this short film, the image editor does not have to always follow the rules of the editing theory as long as the editing does not interfere with the continuity of the narrative in the film that has been edited. Keywords: Image Editing, Cutting Technique, Short Film, Dyslexia Skripsi aplikatif ini berjudul Teknik Penyuntingan Gambar Dalam Film Dr.Romli. Film ini dibuat karena terinspirasi oleh dokter asal Amerika Serikat Blake Charlton yang mengidap dislesksia. Disleksia sendiri merupakan gangguan pada otak manusia dimana orang yang mengalaminya mendapatkan gangguan dalam membaca sebuah kalimat atau kata-kata. Skripsi aplikatif ini menggunakan beberapa teknik dalam penyuntingan gambar yaitu teknik editing continuity, classical cutting, teknik editing lain, split editing dan juga editing discontinuity. Dalam melakukan penyuntingan film pendek ini penyunting gambar tidak harus selalu mengikuti aturan dari teori editing selama penyuntingan yang dilakukan tidak mengganggu kontinuitas naratif dalam film yang telah dilakukan penyuntingan.
