Abstract
This study aims to find out about the relationship between academic burnout and academic procrastination in students completing a thesis at X University, Jakarta. The measuring instrument used in this study uses a measuring tool from the Maslach Burnout Inventory-Student Survey (MBI-SS) developed by Schaufeli for academic burnout which has the dimensions of Exhaustion, Depersonalization (cynicism), reduced academic efficacy. And for academic procrastination measuring instrument used is a measuring instrument from Ferrari which consists of a dimension of delay to start in completing tasks, delays in completing tasks, time gap between plans and actual performance, carrying out other activities that are more enjoyable. The population of this study was 91 students and saturated sampling technique. Data collection techniques are done through questionnaires. The results of the study of the relationship between academic burnout and academic procrastination correlation coefficient of 0.734 with a significance of 0,000 (p <0.05) which can be concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between academic burnout with academic procrastination, the higher the level of academic burnout the higher the level of academic procrastination conversely the lower the level of academic burnout, the lower the level of academic procrastination. Keywords: Academic burnout, Academic procrastination Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui mengenai hubungan antara academic burnout dengan prokrastinasi akademik pada mahasiswa yang menyelesaikan skripsi di Universitas X Jakarta. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitain ini menggunakan alat ukur dari Maslach Burnout Inventory-Student Survey (MBI-SS) yang dikembangkan oleh Schaufeli untuk academic burnoutyang berdimensi Exhaustion, Depersonalization (cynicism), reduced academic efficacy. Dan untuk alat ukur prokrastinasi akademik alat ukur yang digunakan adalah alat ukur dari Ferrari yang terdiri dari dimensi penundaan untuk memulai dalam meyelesaikan tugas, keterlambatan dalam menyelesaikan tugas, kesenjangan waktu antara rencana dan kinerja aktual, melakukan aktivitas lain yang lebih menyenangkan. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 91 mahasiswa dan teknik sampling jenuh. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui koesioner. Hasil penelitian tentang hubungan academic burnout dengan prokrastinasi akademik koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,734 dengan signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0.05) yang dapat di simpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara academic burnout dengan prokrastinasi akademik, semakin tinggi tingkat academic burnout semakin tinggi juga tingkat prokrastinasi akademik dan sebaliknya semakin rendah tingkat academic burnout maka semakin rendah juga tingkat prokrastinasi akademik.
