Abstract

ABSTRAK Perkembangan sistem telekomunikasi nirkabel yang semakin cepat membuat pembagian rentang frekuensi semakin banyak penggunaannya, agar suatu sistem dapat bekerja secara baik sesuai frekuensi yang dipakainya maka dibutuhkanlah suatu filter. filter ini dapat dibuat menggunakan teknologi mikrostrip yang memiliki kelebihan yaitu harganya yang lebih murah, ukurannya yang kecil, dan dapat dibuat dalam jumlah besar dengan mudah, namun juga memiliki kelemahan kerugian pada transmisi ( insertion loss) yang lebih besar dari waveguide. Dasar penelitian ini yaitu bertujuan untuk membuat sebuah bandpass filter yang dapat meloloskan frekuensi perangkat airport surveillance radar yang bekerja pada frekuensi tengah 3 GHz. Filter ini dirancang dengan menggunakan metode square open loop resonator dan software HFSS sebagai simulatornya. Dari hasil pengukuran respon filter pada alat vector analyzer didapatkan pelebaran bandwidth sebesar 30 MHz serta pergeseran frekuensi tengah sebesar 60 MHz dari rancangan awal yaitu 3 GHz menjadi 3,06 GHz. Pada hasil simulasi didapatkan nilai return loss (S11) sebesar -29,6 dB dan nilai insertion loss (S21) sebesar -0,8 dB sedangkan berdasarkan hasil pengukuran didapatkan nilai return loss (S11) sebesar -22,3 dB dan nilai insertion loss (S21) sebesar -3,05 dB . Keyword : Bandpass filter, square open loop resonator, airport surveillance radar, mikrostrip The development of a wireless telecommunications system that is increasingly fast makes the distribution of frequency ranges more and more of its uses, in order that a system can work well according to the frequency it uses, then a filter is needed. This filter can be made using microstrip technology which has the advantage of being a cheaper price, small in size, and can be made in large quantities easily, but also has a disadvantage of loss on the transmission (insertion loss) that is greater than the waveguide. The base of this research is to make a bandpass filter that can pass the airport surveillance radar device that works at the center frequency of 3 GHz. This filter is designed using the square open loop resonator method and HFSS software as a simulator. From the measurement results of the filter response on a vector analyzer it is obtained that the bandwidth widening to 30 MHz and the center frequency shift to 60 MHz from the initial design which is 3 GHz to 3.06 GHz. In the simulation results the return loss (S11) value is -29.6 dB and the insertion loss value (S21) is -0.8 dB while based on the measurement results, the return loss (S11) value is - 22.3 dB and the insertion loss value (S21) of -3.05 dB.
