Abstract

ANALISIS EFEKTIFITAS IMPROVEMENT PADA MESIN PRESS BODY GITAR ABSTRAK Gitar merupakan salah satu alat music berdawai yang dimainkan dengan cara dipetik. Gitar tersusun atas bagian penting, yaitu leher gitar dan body gitar. Body gitar memiliki kontur atau bentuk yang khas dan biasanya terbuat dari material kayu. Kecamatan Baki, Kabupaten Sukoharjo, Jawa Tengah merupakan desa sentra pembuat alat music, salah satunya gitar. Perkembangan industry pembuatan gitar mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan dengan rata – rata peningkatan 16.9% per-tahun. Selain itu, penyerapan tenaga kerja juga mengalami peningkatan signifikan yaitu rata - rata 20.6% per-tahun. Akan tetapi, peningkatan tersebut belum selaras dengan hasil produksi yang dihasilkan. Hal tersebut dikarenakan produksi yang masih dilakukan secara manual. Saat ini sudah terdapat mesin press body gitar yang dioperasikan secara manual. Mesin tersebut memiliki beberapa kekurangan, yaitu heat loss yang masih tinggi. Oleh karena itu, penulis mengangkat tema analisis efektifitas improvement pada mesin press body gitar yang akan membahas perbaikan – perbaikan yang mungkin dilakukan supaya hasil produksi bisa optimal. Perbaikan yang dilakukan adalah perubahan desain menjadi semi-otomatis, perubahan heater system yang mampu menghemat konsumsi daya hingga 80% hingga perhitungan nilai BEP yang dihasilkan dari perbaikan mesin press body gitar selama satu bulan adalah Rp 25.987.811. Bagian penting dari perbaikan alat ini adalah hasil press body sesuai dengan kontur moulding, heater system, operation system dan nilai BEP yang dihasilkan sebagai parameter efektifitas improvement. The guitar is composed of important parts, namely the guitar neck and guitar body. The body of the guitar has a distinctive contour or shape and is usually made of wood material. Baki Subdistrict, Sukoharjo Regency, Central Java is a village of musical instrument makers, one of which is a guitar. The development of the guitar manufacturing industry has increased significantly with an average increase of 16.9% per year. In addition, employment has also increased significantly by an average of 20.6% per year. However, the increase is not in line with the results of production produced. That is because the production is still done manually. There is now a manually operated guitar body press machine. The machine has several drawbacks, namely the high heat loss. Therefore, the author raises the theme of improvement effectiveness analysis on the guitar body press machine which will discuss possible improvements so that the production results can be optimized. Improvements made are changes to the design of a semi-automatic, heater system changes that can save power consumption up to 80% to the calculation of the BEP value resulting from the repair of the guitar body press machine for one month is Rp. 25,987,811. An important part of the repair of this tool is the results of the press body in accordance with the contour of the molding, heater system, operation system and the resulting BEP value as a parameter of effectiveness improvement Key words: Guitar, Analysis, Improvement, BEP, Heater
