Abstract

ABSTRAK Mesin pendingin merupakan salah satu elemen untuk kenyamanan dalam menunjang kegiatan di dalam gedung (terutama Ruang Rapat 305 Gedung Badan Pengembangan Dan Pemberdayaan SDM Kesehatan) dan juga untuk industri. Dengan demikian penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan untuk mengaplikasikan teoriteori yang telah diajarkan dimata kuliah teknik pendingin dan termodinamika, mengetahui berapa besar beban pendingin dan performa mesin pendingin COP (Coefisien of Performance). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis untuk mengolah data. Adapun langkah-langkah penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu dengan mengecek/ mengukur tekanan aliran refrigrant R22 (Low Pressure dan High Pressure) pada mesin pendingin. Penelitian tersebut dilakukan pada mesin pendingin Ruang Rapat 305 Gedung Badan Pengembangan Dan Pemberdayaan SDM Kesehatan yang menggunakan mesin pendingin (AC Sentral) McQuay 7,5 PK (75.000 BTU/hr) . Parameter yang digunakan adalah Refrigerant R22 yaitu dengan mengukur tekanan aliran refrigrant (Low Pressure dan High Pressure) pada kondensor. Dari hasil perhitungan selama 5 (lima) hari dengan total pengukuran 20 kali pengukuran didapatkan beban pengdingin rata-rata adalah 137,6kJ/Kg dan COP rata-rata adalah 7,4. Kata kunci: Beban pendingin, COP (Coefisien of Performance). ABSTRAK The cooling machine is one of the elements for comfort in supporting activities in buildings (especially the Meeting Room 305 of the Development and Empowerment of Health Human Resources Building) and also for industry. Thus, this research aims to apply theories that have been taught in the refrigeration and thermodynamic engineering course, it is to find out how much the cooling load and the performance of the COP engine (Coefficient of Performance). The method used in this study is an analytical method for processing data. The research steps were carried out by checking / measuring the pressure of the refrigerant flow R22 (Low Pressure and High Pressure) on the engine coolant. The research was carried out on the cooling machine of Meeting Room 305 of the Development and Empowerment of Health Human Resources Building which uses a cooling machine (Central AC) McQuay 7.5 PK (75,000 BTU / hr). The parameter used is the R22 Refrigerant by measuring the pressure of the refrigerant flow (Low Pressure and High Pressure) on the condenser. From the results of calculations for 5 (five) days with 20 times the measurement obtained the average cooling load is 137.6 kJ / kg and the average of COP is 7.4.
