Abstract

PT BVCPSI is a company engaged in the field of analysis services in textile products. The suitability of the time and quality of test results in reporting the results is preferred. The effectiveness and efficiency of the production process flow can be achieved by reducing the waste identified in the process flow. Value Stream Mapping (VSM) is a basic method in lean manufacturing systems to identify and eliminate waste. The purpose of this study is to identify with the Value Stream Mapping (VSM) method for activities that provide value and eliminate other activities that do not provide value (waste) in the flow process of testing azo dyes compounds. This research was carried out in several important stages, namely the selection of types of products to be observed, making VSM current conditions of selected products, analyzing the improvement of current conditions VSM, and then making recommendations for improvement. The results of the drawing of VSM diagrams in the current conditions show the lead time of production for the type of product observed is 7973 seconds. After an analysis of improvements based on FMEA analysis by obtaining an RPN of 96 (waiting), 64 (inventory), 72 (Motion) and 18 (transportation). Repairs are made by adding the amount of inventory as needed by paying attention to the layout of the laboratory. Keywords: recommendation improvement, lead time, lean, value stream mapping, waste elimination PT BVCPSI merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang jasa analisis dalam produk-produk tekstil. Kesesuaian waktu dan kualitas hasil uji dalam pelaporan hasil sangat diutamakan. Efektivitas dan efisiensi aliran proses produksi dapat dicapai dengan mengurangi pemborosan (waste) yang teridentifikasi pada aliran proses. Value Stream Mapping (VSM) merupakan sebuah metode dasar pada lean manufacturing sistem untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengeliminasi pemborosan (waste). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi dengan metode Value Stream Mapping (VSM) pada aktivitas-aktivitas yang memberikan nilai dan mengeliminasi aktivitas lain yang tidak memberikan nilai (waste) pada aliran proses pengujian senyawa azo dyes. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam beberapa tahap penting, yakni pemilihan jenis produk untuk diamati, pembuatan VSM kondisi saat ini terhadap produk terpilih, analisis perbaikan VSM kondisi saat ini, dan kemudian pembuatan rekomendasi perbaikan. Hasil penggambaran diagram VSM pada kondisi saat ini menunjukkan lead time produksi untuk jenis produk yang diamati adalah 7973 detik. Setelah dilakukan analisis perbaikan berdasarakan analisis FMEA dengan memperoleh nilai RPN sebesar 96 (waiting), 64 (inventory), 72 (Motion) dan 18 (transportasi). Perbaikan dilakukan dengan menambahkan jumlah inventory sesuai kebutuhan dengan memperhatikan tata letak laboratorium.
