Abstract

Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) or better known as Lupus is a chronic disease that is dangerous and can cause death if it is not immediately treated properly. This affects the physical changes, changes in emotional aspects and others. This gives rise to negative emotions, for that we need self-acceptance. This research was conducted to determine the process of self-acceptance, as well as what factors influence and inhibit the self-acceptance of each subject. The subjects used in this study amounted to 4 people, namely early adult women who have SLE or lupus for at least 2 years and are currently or have received themselves. This type of research used in this study is qualitative with non-participatory observation techniques and in-depth interviews using interview guidelines. Data validation is done by source triangulation. The results showed that the factors influencing the self-acceptance of each subject were self-understanding, the existence of support from the closest spouse and family, as well as giving rise to gratitude for all the strengths and weaknesses that occur in him. The factors that inhibit self-acceptance of each subject are the absence of obstacles from the environment, the absence of severe stress on each subject. Keywords: Lupus, Self-Acceptance, Early Adults Women Penyakit Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) atau yang lebih di kenal dengan penyakit Lupus merupakan penyakit kronis yang berbahaya dan dapat menyebabkan kematian apabila tidak segera mendapatkan penanganan yang tepat. Hal ini berpengaruh pada adanya perubahan fisik, perubahan dalam segi emosi dan lain- lain. Hal tersebut memunculkan emosi negatif, untuk itu di butuhkan adanya penerimaan diri. Penelitian ini di lakukan untuk mengetahui proses penerimaan diri, serta faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi dan menghambat penerimaan diri masing – masing subjek. Subjek yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 4 orang yaitu wanita dewasa awal yang mengidap SLE atau lupus minimal 2 tahun dan sedang atau telah menerima dirinya. Jenis penelitian yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan tekhnik observasi non partisipatif dan wawancara mendalam dengan menggunakan pedoman wawancara. Validasi data di lakukan dengan triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang mempengaruhi penerimaan diri masing-masing subjek adalah pemahaman mengenai diri sendiri, adanya dukungan dari pasangan dan keluarga terdekat, serta memunculkan rasa syukur atas semua kelebihan dan kekurangan yang terjadi pada dirinya. Adapun faktor yang menghambat penerimaan diri masing-masing subjek adalah tidak adanya hambatan dari lingkungan, tidak adanya stress yang berat pada masing – masing subjek.
