Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between job search behavior and work motivation with the performance of employees of PT. X. this research was conducted at PT. X which is located in the Cikupa area of Tangerang Regency with a number of subjects as many as 203 people consisting of 160 men and 43 women. This study uses probability sampling techniques with the type of simple random sampling, and data collection is done using a job search behavior questionnaire consisting of 12 statements, work motivation consisting of 6 statements, and employee performance consisting of 12 statements. Data analysis was performed using Pearson correlation statistics techniques or commonly known as product moments with the help of the SPSS statistical program version 21.0. From the analysis of the data obtained by the correlation value between job search behavior with employee performance of 0.759. This shows that there is a positive and significant correlation between job search behavior with the performance of employees of PT. X. As for the value of the correlation between work motivation with employee performance of 0.809. So this shows that there is a positive and significant relationship between work motivation with the performance of employees of PT. X. Keywords: Job Search Behavior, Work Motivation, Performance, Employees penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara job search behavior dan motivasi kerja dengan kinerja karyawan PT. X. penelitian ini dilakukan di PT. X yang berlokasi di daerah Cikupa Kab.Tangerang dengan jumlah subjek sebanyak 203 orang yang terdiri dari 160 laki-laki dan 43 perempuan. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik probability sampling dengan jenis simple random sampling, dan pengumpulan data di lakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner job search behavior yang terdiri dari 12 butir pernyataan, motivasi kerja yang terdiri dari 6 butir pernyataan, dan kinerja karyawan yang terdiri dari 12 butir pernyataan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik statistik korelasi pearson atau biasa di kenal dengan product moment dengan bantuan program statistic SPSS versi 21.0. Dari analisis data diperoleh nilai korelasi antara job search behavior dengan kinerja karyawan sebesar 0,759. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat korelasi yang positif dan signifikan antara job search behavior dengan kinerja karyawan PT. X. adapun nilai korelasi antara motivasi kerja dengan kinerja karyawan sebesar 0,809. Maka hal ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara motivasi kerja dengan kinerja karyawan PT. X. Kata Kunci: Job Search Behavior, Motivasi Kerja, Kinerja, Karyawan
