Abstract

An induction motor is an electromagnetic device that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. Damage to induction motors is often caused by missalignment, mechanical unbalance, bearing defect, and damage to the rotor. This able to cause high temperatures and vibrations that exceed the tolerances of the motor, gearbox, and pump. In order for this condition to be monitored, this study describes the design of an Internet of Thing (IoT) based temperature and vibration monitoring tool. The tools and systems that made allow the operator to monitor the temperature and vibration conditions of the motor, pump and gearbox. In this study, the motor, pump, and gearbox were installed with temperature and vibration sensors. The measurement data is then processed on Arduino and sent using LoRa Shield. Dragino as a receiver will receive the data and send it to ThingSpeak. Then the data will be presented in graphical form and gauge meters. If the data sent by the sensor exceeds the set limit, it will turn on the alarm and send notifications in the form of pop-ups and emails. Based on the results of testing the sensors on the tool, the % error value of temperature measurement is 0 - 1.2% and for vibration measurement is 3.4 - 8.7%. Display test results can be presented in graphical form according to sensor readings. Then alarms and notifications will be active when the measurement data exceeds the specified tolerance limit. Keywords: Dragino, Email, Internet of Think (IoT), LoRa Shield, Pop-up, Temperature, ThingSpeak, Vibrasi Motor induksi merupakan sebuah perangkat elektromagnetis yang mengubah energi listrik menjadi energi mekanik. Kerusakan pada motor induksi sering disebabkan oleh miss alignment, mechanical unbalance, kerusakan pada bearing, dan kerusakan pada rotor. Hal tersebut dapat menyebabkan temperatur menjadi tinggi dan timbul vibrasi yang melebihi toleransi pada motor, gearbox, dan pompa. Agar kondisi tersebut terpantau, dalam penelitian ini dijelaskan perancangan alat monitoring temperature dan vibrasi berbasis Internet of Thing (IoT). Alat dan sistem yang dibuat memungkinkan operator dapat selalu memonitor kondisi temperature dan vibrasi pada motor, pompa dan gearbox. Dalam penelitian ini motor, pompa, dan gearbox dipasang sensor temperatur dan vibrasi. Data pengukuran tersebut kemudian diolah di Arduino dan dikirim menggunakan LoRa Shield. Dragino sebagai receiver akan menerima data tersebut dan mengirimkannya ke ThingSpeak. Kemudian data tersebut akan disajikan dalam bentuk grafik dan gauge meter. Apabila data yang dikirim sensor melebihi batasan yang telah diatur, maka akan menyalakan alarm dan mengirimkan notifikasi berupa pop-up dan email. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian pada alat didapatkan nilai %error pengukuran temperature sebesar 0 – 1,2% dan untuk pengukuran vibrasi sebesar 3,4 – 8,7%. Hasil pengujian tampilan dapat menyajikan dalam bentuk grafik sesuai dengan pembacaan sensor. Kemudian alarm dan notifikasi akan aktif ketika data pengukuran melebihi batas toleransi yang ditentukan.
