Abstract

This study aims to control the quality problem in the body repair painting process that occurs by the redo paint activity of 11% of the total production at the Tunas Toyota Bintaro Workshop. And also aims to determine the appropriate improvement plan in quality control. One of the quality control methods that can be used is the Six Sigma method with the DMAIC cycle (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control). By using the Six Sigma method, 5 types of defect painting have been found that cause redo paint, namely matting, orange peel, pinhole, runs, and seeds. From the calculation of the p-chart control limit, the highest p-chart value is 0.15 and the lowest is 0.8. At the Analyze stage based on the Pareto diagram, the improvement plan is focused on 3 types of defect painting that occur, namely runs with a percentage (38%), defect painting with an orange peel type with a percentage (25%), and seeds with a percentage (17%). The three defect paintings were analyzed using a fishbone diagram to describe the cause of the defect. At the stage of improve, an improvement plan was made using the 5W + 1H method as the company's consideration in controlling quality. Some of the improvement plan include training painting technicians, providing test pieces, and making maintenance schedules for spaybooth and spraygun. Then the control stage makes information on improvement steps for the performance of the next process. Keywords: Quality Control, Six Sigma, Redo Paint, Toyota, and Improvement Plan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengendalikan masalah kualitas pada proses pengecatan body repair yang ditandai oleh terjadinya aktivitas redo paint terhadap 11% dari total produksi di Bengkel Tunas Toyota Bintaro. Dan juga bertujuan untuk menentukan rencana perbaikan yang tepat dalam pengendalian kualitas. Salah satu metode pengendalian kualitas yang dapat digunakan adalah metode Six Sigma dengan siklus DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, dan Control). Dengan menggunakan metode six sigma ditemukan 5 jenis defect painting yang menyebabkan redo paint yaitu matting, orange peel, pinhole, runs, dan seeds. Dari perhitungan batas kendali p-chart didapatkan nilai p-chart tertinggi adalah 0.15 dan yang terendah adalah 0.8. Pada tahap analyze berdasarkan diagram pareto, rencana perbaikan difokuskan pada 3 jenis defect painting yang terjadi yaitu runs dengan persentase (38%), defect painting jenis orange peel dengan persentase (25%), dan seeds dengan persentase (17%). Ketiga defect painting tersebut di analisis menggunakan diagram fishbone untuk menggambarkan penyebab terjadinya defect. Pada tahap improve di buat rencana perbaikan dengan metode 5W + 1H sebagai pertimbangan perusahaan dalam mengendalikan kualitas. Beberapa rencana perbaikan yaitu memberikan pelatihan kepada teknisi painting, menyediakan test piece, dan membuat jadwal perawatan untuk spaybooth dan spraygun. Kemudian tahap control membuat informasi langkah perbaikan untuk kinerja proses berikutnya. Kata Kunci: Pengendalian Kualitas, Six Sigma, Redo Paint, Toyota, dan Rencana Perbaikan.
