Abstract
Raw material inventory is the biggest investment for the company. So that raw materials must be managed optimally so that company profits can be maximized. PT. ABC is a pharmaceutical company that has a vision that is to become a leading pharmaceutical company in Indonesia that focuses on specialty pharmaceutical products. Acetonitril is a reagent that is often used for product development analysis in R&D laboratories. Problems that occur in R&D laboratories are always a shortage of stock (stockout). This study aims to determine the optimal level of acetonitrile inventory to create a budget for acetonitrile procurement. The research methods used to obtain data in this study are field research and library research. The source of the data used are primary and secondary data from field research that has been done related to the purchase and use of acetonitrile. And the data processing of this research uses the countinuous review system method (Q method) and the periodic review system method (P method). The results showed that the R&D laboratory budget for the 2019 period using the Q method was Rp9,434,702,482. with a total inventory cost of Acetonitril of Rp265,478,878 and the total budget using the P method is Rp9,343,700,729 with a total inventory cost of acetonitrile amounting to Rp265,477,125. It can be concluded that the P method is the best method even though the difference in the total inventory cost between the Q method and the P method is only Rp. 1,753. Keywords: Inventory, Method Q, Method P, Budget Persediaan bahan baku merupakan investasi perusahaan yang paling besar. Sehingga bahan baku harus dikelola secara optimal agar keuntungan perusahaan dapat maksimal. PT. ABC merupakan sebuah perusahaan farmasi yang memiliki visi yaitu menjadi perusahaan farmasi terkemuka di Indonesia yang fokus pada produk farmasi khusus. Acetonitril merupakan pereaksi yang sering digunakan untuk analisa pengembangan produk di laboratorium R&D. Permasalahan yang terjadi di laboratorium R&D selalu terjadinya kekurangan persediaan (stockout). Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan tingkat persediaan acetonitril yang optimal untuk membuat anggaran pengadaan acetonitril. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan (field research) dan penelitian kepustakaan (library research). Adapun sumber data yang digunakan adalah data-data primer dan sekunder dari field research yang telah dilakukan terkaitan dengan pembelian dan pemakaian acetonitril. Dan pengolahan data penelitian ini menggunakan metode countinuous review system (metode Q) dan metode periodic review system (metode P). Hasil penelitian menunjukan anggaran laboratorium R&D periode tahun 2019 menggunakan metode Q adalah sebesar Rp9,434,702,482. dengan total biaya persediaan Acetonitril adalah sebesar Rp265.478.878 dan total anggaran dengan menggunakan metode P adalah sebesar Rp9,343,700,729 dengan total biaya persediaan acetonitril adalah sebesar Rp265,477,125. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode P merupakan metode terbaik meskipun selisih total biaya persediaan antara metode Q dan metode P hanya sebesar Rp1,753.
