Abstract
PT. Mandiri Panca Prima is a distributing and converting company of adhesive, tape, fastener, clip, holder, polymer foam and worker safety product and has achieved ISO 9001: 2015. This proves that the company has implemented good quality management standards, but with increasing numbers the demand does not rule out the possibility of defective or no good (NG) products can also become even greater as is the case with the die cutting double tape 3 diamond process for emblems of Mitsubishi cars. The results of the NG calculation for the period of January to April 2019 which occurred in the company has exceeded the maximum NG standard limit set by the company by 5%, so the amount of NG must be reduced and immediately conduct an evaluation and improvement of the ongoing production process. The tools used in this study are the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method to identify and analyze failures that occur during the production process. This study aims to analyze the type of NG that is most dominant, identify the factors that cause NG, and provide suggestions for improving quality. This research was conducted by the evaluation survey method in the process of die cutting part double tape emblem 3 diamond at PT. Mandiri Panca Prima. Based on pareto diagrams, the most dominant type of NG occurred was non-standard size (35%), chipped (33%), and not broken (32%). Based on the fishbone diagram, the factors that cause NG are machine, material, human and method factors. Proposed improvements are made to the causes of the type of defect with the highest RPN value, one of which is to conduct regular operator training, make an appropriate maintenance schedule, and discipline workers in controlling the production process so that it works properly. Mandiri Panca Prima merupakan perusahaan distributing and converting of adhesive, tape, fastener, clip, holder, polymer foam and worker safety product dan telah meraih sertifikat ISO 9001 : 2015. Ini membuktikan bahwa perusahaan telah menerapkan standar manajemen mutu yang baik, tetapi dengan meningkatnya jumlah permintaan maka tidak menutup kemungkinan produk cacat atau no good(NG) juga dapat menjadi semakin besar seperti halnya yang terjadi pada proses die cutting double tape 3 diamond untuk emblem mobil Mitsubishi. Hasil perhitungan NG selama periode Januari s.d. April 2019 yang terjadi di perusahaan telah melebihi batas limit standar maksimum NG yang ditetapkan perusahaan sebesar 5%, sehingga jumlah NG harus dikurangi dan segera melakukan evaluasi dan perbaikan terhadap proses produksi yang berlangsung. Tools yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis kegagalan yang terjadi selama proses produksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis jenis NG yang paling dominan terjadi, mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya NG, serta memberikan usulan agar dapat memperbaiki kualitas. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode survei evaluasi pada proses die cutting part double tape emblem 3 diamond di PT. Mandiri Panca Prima. Berdasarkan pareto diagram, jenis NG yang paling dominan terjadi adalah size tidak standar (35%), gompal (33%), dan tidak putus (32%). Berdasarkan fishbone diagram, faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya NG adalah faktor machines, materials, manpower, dan methods. Usulan perbaikan dilakukan terhadap penyebab jenis cacat dengan nilai RPN tertinggi, salah satunya adalah melakukan training operator secara berkala, membuat jadwal maintenance yang tepat, dan mendisiplinkan pekerja dalam mengontrol proses produksi agar bekerja secara tepat.
