Abstract

ABSTRAK Semakin berkembangnya kemajuan Teknologi di era globalisasi seperti sekarang ini telah meningkatkan kebutuhan masyarakat akan teknologi yang sekaligus telah mengubah gaya hidup masyarakat. Salah satu Teknologi yang sedang berkembang saat ini adalah smartphone yang tidak hanya dibutuhkan atau digunakan untuk berkomunikasi seperti telepon ataupun mengirim pesan singkat. Namun smartphone itu diharapkan juga dimanfaatkan untuk hal-hal lain yang dapat membantu aktifitas sehari – harinya, Android menyediakan platform terbuka bagi para pengembang untuk menciptakan aplikasi untuk digunakan oleh bermacam perangkat bergerak dan sudah banyak dipakai pada jenis smartphone. Android memiliki aplikasi bawaan Google yang terintegrasi yaitu Google Maps. Maka dengan kemampuan smartphone barbasis Android serta jasa dari Google, pengguna akan dengan mudah mendapatkan letak suatu tempat yang dicari. Aplikasi pengingat lokasi tujuan merupakan salah satu aplikasi yang sudah ada dalam smartphone android yang didesain untuk mengeluarkan suara / bunyi pada jarak lokasi yang sudah ditentukan. Aplikasi ini digunakan untuk mengingatkan seseorang jika terlupa atau tertidur di perjalanannya, sehingga dapat membantu masyarakat mengatur jarak lokasi tujuan yang sudah diatur sesuai keinginannya. Kata kunci: Smartphone android, GPS, Aplikasi, Google maps. ABSTRACT The growing progress of Technology in the era of globalization as it has now increased the need of the community for the technology that has also changed the lifestyle of society. One of today's emerging technologies is smartphones that are not only needed or used to communicate like phones or send short messages. But the smartphone is expected to also be used for other things that can help the day-to-day activities, Android provides an open platform for developers to create applications for use by various mobile devices and is widely used in the type of smartphone. Android has the built-in Google built-in app that is Google Maps. So with the ability of Android-based smartphones and services from Google, users will easily get where a place is searched. The location location reminder app is one of the apps that is not in the android smartphone designed to make sounds at a predetermined location distance. This application is used to remind someone if forgotten or fall asleep on the way, so it can help people set the distance of the destination location that has been set as desired.
