Abstract

ABSTRAK Perkembangan teknologi informasi pada kondisi sekarang ini telah menjadi bagian yang penting dalam keberhasilan sebuah sistem terutama dalam pencapaian suatu informasi. Salah satu bagian dari teknologi informasi adalah sistem pengingat jadwal kegiatan kalender akademik. Sistem ini berisi tentang informasi tentang kegiatan akademik yang dilakukan setiap tahun oleh institusi pendidikan. Universitas Mercubuana masih menggunakan sistem pengumuman menggunakan website dan brosur yang ditempelkan pada papan pengumuman disetiap kampus yang kurang mendapat perhatian dari setiap mahasiswa. Sistem pengingat ini dibentuk dalam dua bagian yakni sistem web server dan androidnya secara terpisah. Sistem webserver dan web aplikasi digunakan untuk memudahkan pihak tata usaha menginput data yang kemudian diolah menjadi informasi untuk para mahasiswa menggunakan Web API sebagai protokolnya. Metode pengembangan sistem yang digunakan dalam pembuatan aplikasi ini adalah metode Waterfall. Aplikasi ini akan terhubung pada smartphone android mahasiswa yang telah dipasang sebelumnya. Kata kunci : Sistem Pengingat, Kalender Akademik, Web Service, Waterfall. ABSTRACT The development of Technology and Information today’s being the important parts of the successful of priority system to reach the information. The example of the development of technology and information is the schedule reminder system on academic calendar. This system contains about the information of academic activities which are done every year by educational institutions. Mercubuana University still uses website and brochure as announcement system which pin at bulletin board in the whole campus. It does not take students attention. This reminder system builds into two parts, there are web server system and the android separately. The web server system and application web use to make the administration staff easily inputting the data and processes the data to be the information for the students by using API Web as the protocol. The development system which is used at this system is Waterfall method. This application will be connected to the student’s smartphone if it is installed.
