Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the characteristics and durability of Turbines and Generators in Pico Hydro Power Plants (PLTPH). This research is needed because the vibrations in the turbines can cause potential damage that causes reduced usability. The test is carried out using the Bump Test method at 6 (six) measurement points on the X, Y, Z axis. The resulting vibration response is measured using the FFT Analyzer. FFT Analyzer measurement results data, then performed data processing using MATLAB software. The results of this study indicate that the turbine global vibration mode is found in 11 frequencies, namely 4, 8, 12, 20, 28, 36, 44, 52, 60, 68 and 76 Hz. This proves that the turbine has a system with many degrees of freedom (multi degree of freedom). The higher the personal frequency value in the turbine, the higher the level of resistance to vibrations produced by the Piko Hydro Power Plant. The level of durability of this turbine can reduce the maintenance costs of the turbine Hydro Power Plant (PLTPH). Keywords : Turbine, Dynamic Characteristics, Bump Test, Vibrate Mode Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui karakteristik serta ketahanan Turbin dan Generator pada Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Piko Hidro (PLTPH). Penelitian ini diperlukan karena getaran pada turbin dapat menimbulkan potensi kerusakan yang menyebabkan daya pakainya berkurang. Pengujian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Bump Test pada 6 (enam) titik pengukuran terhadap sumbu X, Y, Z. Respon getaran yang dihasilkan diukur dengan menggunakan FFT Analyzer. Data hasil pengukuran FFT Analyzer, selanjutnya dilakukan pengolahan data dengan menggunakan software MATLAB. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa modus getar global turbin terdapat pada 11 frekuensi, yaitu 4, 8, 12, 20, 28, 36, 44, 52, 60, 68 dan 76 Hz. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa turbin memiliki sistem dengan banyak derajat kebebasan (multi degree of freedom). Semakin tinggi nilai frekuensi pribadi pada turbin maka akan semakin tinggi tingkat ketahanannya terhadap getaran yang dihasilkan oleh Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Piko Hidro. Tingkat ketahanan turbin ini dapat menekan biaya perawatan turbin Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Piko Hidro (PLTPH). Kata Kunci : Turbin, Karakteristik Dinamik, Bump Test, Modus Getar
