Abstract

Financial distress have strong relationship to the bankruptcy of a company. The occurence of financial distress can be predicted by using information contained in financial statement. This study aims to determine the effect of good corporate governance, liquidity, and leverage on financial distress at property and real estate sub sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period 2014-2018, the sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Samples in the study that meet the criteria selected in the sample selection are 12 companies with a total sample period of 2014-2018 as many as 60. The analysis technique used is panel data regression. The results showed that liquidity and leverage have no effect on financial distress. Good Corporate governance effect on financial distress. Keywords: good coorporate governance, liquidity, leverage, and financial distress Financial distress memiliki hubungan yang erat dengan kebangkrutan pada suatu perusahaan. Terjadinya financial distress dapat diprediksi dengan menggunakan informasi yang terdapat dalam laporan keuangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh good corporate governance, likuiditas, dan leverage terhadap financial distress pada sub sektor Property dan Real Estate yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2014-2018, teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian yang memenuhi kriteria yang dipilih dalam penentuan sampel adalah 12 perusahaan dengan keseluruhan sampel dalam periode 2014-2018 sebanyak 60. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi data panel. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa likuiditas dan leverage tidak berpengaruh terhadap financial distress. Good Coorporate governance berpengaruh terhadap financial distress. Kata kunci: good coorporate governance, likuiditas, leverage, dan financial distress.
