Abstract
Cases and victims of child abuse are increasing every year, also in tourism destination’s area (Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Indonesia, 2018). This study was conducted to examine whether Psycho-educational of “Safe-Unsafe Touch” effective to increasing child’s knowledge of physical and sexual abuse prevention. The respondents that participated in this study are 25 students of Pari Island’s Primary School (14 boys, 11 girls) around 6-7 years old. This is a Quasi-experimental research with One Group Pre-test–Post-test design that were measured by Play it Safe® Questionnaire, modify from Blakey & Thigpen (2015). The result shown there was a significant increase score between measurement before and after psycho-educational given that means Psycho-educational of “Safe-Unsafe Touch” was effective to increasing child’s knowledge of physical and sexual abuse prevention. Keywords: psycho-educational, safe touch, unsafe touch, child abuse prevention, quasi-experimental Kasus dan korban kekerasan anak selalu meningkat setiap tahunnya, termasuk di daerah tujuan wisata (Kementerian Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Perlindungan Anak, 2018). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya efektivitas psikoedukasi “Safe-Unsafe Touch” dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan anak mengenai cara mencegah kekerasan fisik dan seksual. Responden dalam penelitian ini merupakan 25 siswa kelas 1 Sekolah Dasar Pulau Pari dengan rentang usia 6-7 tahun (laki-laki 14 siswa, perempuan 11 siswa). Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimen kuasi dengan desain One Group Pre-test - Post-test. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah modifikasi dari kuisioner Play it Safe® yang dikembangkan oleh Blakey & Thigpen (2015).Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa psikoedukasi “Safe-Unsafe Touch” efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan anak mengenai cara mencegah kekerasan fisik dan seksual.
