Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship of emotional maturity to the independence of santri. The study took the subject of santri Tsanawitah at Madinatunnajah Islamic Boarding School with ages between 13 to 15 years, totaling 81 santri. The research data was collected directly through the distribution of the questionnaire to the santri by conducting mentoring. The research data were analyzed univariate with crosstab and bivariate with product moment correlation through the SPSS program assistance. The results of the study prove that emotional maturity has a significant positive relationship with the independence of santri. This study also found that age demographic factors have a relationship with emotional maturity and independence of students, but gender factors have no relationship with emotional maturity and independence of students. Keywords: Emotional Maturity, Independence Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan dari kematangan emosi dengan kemandirian santri. Penelitian mengambil subjek santri Tsanawitah di Pondok Pesantren Madinatunnajah dengan usia antara 13 sampai 15 tahun yang berjumlah 81 santri. Data penelitian dikumpulkan secara langsung malalui penyebara kuesioner kepasa santri dengan dilakukan pendampingan. Data penelitian dianalisis secra univariate dengan crosstab dan secara bivariate dengan korelasi product moment memalui bantuan program SPSS. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa kematangan emosi memiliki hubungan positif yang signifikan dengan kemandirian santri. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa faktor demografi usia memiliki hubungan dengan kematangan emosi dan kemandirian santri, namun faktor gender tidak memiliki hubungan dengan kematangan emosi dan kemandirian santri.
