Abstract
This research aimed to analyze bankruptcy prediction using altman z-score method of the telecommunications company listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange in the period 2014 to 2017. The sampel used in this research there are 2 companies, PT. Bakrie Telecom, Tbk and PT Smartfren Telecom, Tbk with purposive sampling techniques. The data used in this study are secondary data in the form of financial statements of PT. Bakrie Telecom, Tbk and PT Smartfren Telecom, Tbk, which have been published on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the 2014-2017 period. The ratio of altman z-score used is working capital to total asset, retained earning to total asset, earning before interest and tax to total asset, market value of equity to total asset dan sales to total asset. The analysis used is descriptive statictical analysis. Data is processed using SPSS version 25 and Microsoft Excel. The results of this study indicate that in 2014 until 2017 PT Bakrie Telecom, Tbk has the lowest average value of Z-Score or can be predicted to go bankruptcy and PT Smartfren Telecom, Tbk also included in the category of bankrupt companies, because average value of Z-Score <1,81. Keywords: Telecommunication Company, Bankruptcy Prediction, Altman Z-Score Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis prediksi kebangkrutan dengan menggunakan metode altman Z-Score pada perusahaan telekomunikasi yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periodetahun 2014-2017.Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ada 2 perusahaan yaitu PT. Bakrie Telecom, Tbk dan PT Smartfren Telecom, Tbk dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder berupa laporan keuangan PT. Bakrie Telecom, Tbk dan PT Smartfren Telecom, Tbk yang telah dipublikasikan di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode tahun 2014-2017. Rasio altman z-score yang digunakan adalah working capital to total asset, retained earning to total asset, earning before interest and tax to total asset, market value of equity to total asset dan sales to total asset. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis statistic deskriptif. Data diolah menggunakan SPSS versi 25 dan Microsoft Excel. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pada tahun 2014 sampai dengan tahun 2017 PT Bakrie Telecom, Tbk memiliki rata-rata nilai Z-Score paling terendah atau dapat diprediksi bangkrut dan PT Smartfren Telecom, Tbk juga termasuk dalam kategori perusahaan mengalami kebangkrutan, karena nilai rata-rata Z-Score <1,81.
