Abstract

One type of battery being developed is a metal air battery. The weakness of metal air batteries is in the anodic metal. Based on the application of electrolyte methyl trioctyl ammonium chloride (TOMA-Cl) which includes electrolytes of this type of non ionic electrolyte liquid this type has advantages in terms of corrosion resistance. The development of aluminum air batteries was carried out with variations in the concentration of the solutions of 10, 50, 70 and 90% obtained from different voltages according to the concentration values used. The development of aluminum batteries produces 10% obtained by 0.24V. At a concentration of 50% a number of 0.40V is obtained. At a concentration of 70%, a figure of 0.56V is obtained and at a concentration of 90% a number of 0.68 V. is obtained and the results of the trial efficiency using the test method weighs 10% of 0.1389 mm / year. At 50% 0.5192 mm / year. At 70% 0.5852 mm / year. At 90% 0.7226 mm / year. TOMA-Cl solution as a non�ionic liquid has a corrosion rate lower than ion-liquid. Keywords: Metal air battery, non-ionic liquid, TOMA-Cl, corrosion rate Salah satu jenis baterai yang sedang dikembangkan adalah baterai logam udara. Kelemahan baterai logam udara memiliki peristiwa korosi yang cukup tinggi pada logam anodanya. Berdasarkan pengaplikasian elektrolit methyl trioctyl ammonium chloride (TOMA-Cl) yang termasuk elektrolit berjenis non-ionic liquid elektrolit jenis ini memiliki keunggulan dalam hal ketahanan korosi. Pengembangan baterai aluminium udara ini dilakukan dengan variasi konsentrasi larutan TOMA-Cl 10, 50, 70 dan 90% didapat hasil tegangan yang bervariasi berkaitan dengan nilai konsentrasi larutan yang digunakan. Pengembangan baterai aluminium udara menunjukkan hasil pada konsentrasi larutan 10% didapat angka 0,24V. Pada konsentrasi larutan 50% didapat angka 0,40V. Pada konsentrasi larutan 70% didapat angka 0,56V dan Pada konsentrasi larutan 90% didapat angka 0,68 V. Dan hasil pengujian laju uji korosi menggunakan metode kehilangan berat menunjukkan laju uji korosi pada 10% sebesar 0,1389 mm/tahun. Pada 50% 0,5192 mm/tahun. Pada konsentrasi larutan 70% 0,5852 mm/tahun. Pada 90% 0,7226 mm/tahun. Larutan TOMA-Cl sebagai non-ionic liquid memiliki laju korosi yang lebih rendah dibandingkan ionic-liquid.
