Abstract

One technology that is being developed as a communication medium is fiber optic technology. Fiber optic is a cable from copper silica (glass) material which is capable of delivering light, through electric current of all forms of communication. Community needs for access services are rapidly increasing, due to increasingly rapid technological developments. To get fast access services, access media are needed that have sufficient bandwidth. Optical fiber is one of the transmission media that has a large bandwidth and can transmit large data at high speed. In this study, the author will discuss the design of FTTH in the Permata Puri Harmoni II Cileungsi housing. In this study analyzed the performance of FTTH networks through simulation systems based on Bit Error Rate (BER), Q-Factor and Link Budget analysis. In addition, this calculation is carried out on the furthest homepasses, homepasses in the middle (middle) and the nearest homepass. The wavelength used is 1310 nm for upstream and 1490 nm for downstream. Based on the simulation results obtained by the Optisystem BER value is 0 Q-Factor value of 133.868, higher than the ideal Q-Factor value of optical fiber transmission which is 6. And the power value is -19,482 dBm for downstream and -5.72 dBm for upstream, both values still above the minimum power limit at the receiver set by PT Telkom, which is -28 dBm. So the signal that has been transmitted by OLT at STO can still be fully received by the ONT on the customer side. With an ONT device sensitivity of -28 dBm, for the furthest customers Receive Power shows a figure of −23,542 dBm so that this implementation test can be said to be feasible. Keywords : Bit Eror Rate (BER), Q-Factor, Homepass, FTTH Salah satu teknologi yang sedang di kembangkan sebagai media komunikasi adalah teknologi fiber optic. Fiber optic sendiri merupakan kabel dari material silica (kaca) tembaga yang mampu menyalurkan cahaya, malalui arus listrik segala bentuk komunikasi. Kebutuhan masyarakat akan layanan akses yang cepat semakin meningkat, karena perkembangan teknologi yang semakin pesat. Untuk mendapatkan layanan akses yang cepat, dibutuhkan media akses yang memiliki bandwidth yang cukup. Serat optic merupakan salah satu media transmisi yang memliki bandwidth yang besar dan dapat mentransmisikan data yang besar dengan kecepatan tinggi. Pada penelitian ini, penulis akan membahas mengenai perancangan FTTH di perumahan Permata Puri Harmoni II Cileungsi. Pada penelitian ini dianalisa kinerja jaringan FTTH melalui simulasi Optisystem berdasarkan analisis Bit Eror Rate (BER), Q-Factor dan Link Budget. Selain itu perhitungan ini dilakukan pada homepass terjauh, homepass yang berada ditengah-tengah (menengah) serta homepass yang terdekat. Panjang gelombang yang digunakan adalah 1310 nm untuk upstream dan 1490 nm untuk downstream. Berdasarkan hasil simulasi Optisystem didapatkan nilai BER adalah 0 nilai Q-Factor sebesar 133.868, lebih tinggi dari nilai Q-Factor ideal transmisi fiber optic yaitu 6. Dan nilai daya –19.482 dBm untuk downstream dan -5,72 dBm untuk upstream, kedua nilai tersebut masih di atas batas minimum daya di penerima yang ditetapkan oleh PT Telkom, yaitu -28 dBm. Jadi signal yang telah ditransmisikan oleh OLT di STO masih dapat sepenuhnya di terima oleh ONT di sisi pelanggan. Dengan sensitifitas perangkat ONT sebesar -28 dBm, untuk pelanggan terjauh Receive Power menunjukan angka sebesar −23,542 dBm sehingga dapat dikatakan pengujian implementasi ini layak.
