Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a difference in procrastination in completing the final assignment for students of the Faculty of Psychology Regular 2 University X based on marital status. The sample in this study were 78 students, 38 students were married and 40 students were unmarried. The sampling technique used in this study is a simple random sampling technique, namely the process of selecting a number of samples n from the population of N carried out randomly. In this case the researcher determines the sample based on the lottery method. Data collection is in the form of a questionnaire with a scale method. For data analysis used is comparative data analysis called the t-test (T-test). The results of the Independent Sample T-test for academic procrastination were 0.799 (p>0.05). These results indicate there is no difference in procrastination in completing the final assignment between married students and unmarried students at the University of X's Regular 2 Psychology Faculty. Keywords: academic procrastination, married students, unmarried students Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan prokrastinasi dalam menyelesaikan tugas akhir pada mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Regular 2 Universitas X berdasarkan status pernikahan. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 78 mahasiswa, yaitu 38 mahasiswa sudah menikah dan 40 mahasiswa belum menikah. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik simple random sampling, yaitu proses memilih sejumlah sampel n dari populasi N dilakukan secara acak. Dalam hal ini peneliti menentukan sampel berdasarkan cara undian. Pengumpulan data dalam bentuk kuesioner dengan metode skala. Untuk analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data komparasi yang disebut dengan uji-t (T-test). Hasil dari Independet Sample T-test untuk prokrastinasi akademik adalah t = 0,256 dan p = 0,799 > 0,05. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan prokrastinasi dalam menyelesaikan tugas akhir antara mahasiswa yang sudah menikah dan mahasiswa yang belum menikah pada Fakultas Psikologi Reguler 2 Universitas X.
