Abstract

In designing high-rise buildings the effect of an earthquake should be reviewed in the planning of buildings and non-buildings based on SNI 1726: 2012. One solution to withstand earthquake forces is by adding a shear wall to the building structure. The shear wall combined with the moment bearing frame is called a double system where the lateral force due to the dominant earthquake is borne by the shear wall. Whereas the frame bearing the moment holds the least earthquake load by 25%. Selection of the right structural system will produce a structure that is strong, rigid and effective in resisting the load acting on the structure. Therefore it is necessary to place the right shear wall and the height of the shear wall effectively. The effective height of the shear wall in the existing building after analysis of 10.7 m for the direction of width and 2.3 m for the direction of its length Keywords: Shear Wall, Dual System Dalam perancangan bangunan tinggi pengaruh gempa rencana harus ditinjau dalam perencanaan bangunan gedung dan non gedung berdasarkan SNI 1726:2012. Salah satu solusi untuk menahan gaya gempa dengan menambahkan dinding geser /shear wall pada struktur bangunan. Dinding geser yang dikombinasi dengan rangka pemikul momen disebut sebagai sistim ganda dimana gaya lateral akibat gempa dominan dipikul oleh dinding geser. Sedangkan rangka pemikul momen paling sedikit menahan beban gempa sebesar 25%. Pemilihan sistim struktur yang tepat akan menghasilkan struktur yang kuat, kaku dan efektif dalam menahan beban yang bekerja pada struktur. Oleh karena itu diperlukan peletakan dindinng geser yang tepat dan ketinggian dinding geser yang efektif. Ketinggian efektif shear wall pada gedung existing setelah dianalisa 10,7 m untuk arah lebarnya dan 2,3 m untuk arah panjangnya Kata Kunci :Dinding Geser, Sistim Ganda
