Abstract
The purpose of this study was to get a depth overview of personality in Female Solo Traveller based on Big Five McCrae and Costa theory. This study use a qualitative method. Qualitative methods are used to get in-depth information from each subject. The data collection method used is the method of observation and interview to each subject. In this study, the subject is a female traveller who travels alone to various regions or countries without using travel services or group tours. The results of this study show the similarities and differences of each subject to the aspects contained in the Big Five theory. The similarities in each subject are in the Extraversion and Agreeableness dimensions. Aspects that have similarities in each subject, the first is that each subject has aspects of Agreeableness, while for Extraversion is not found in all three subjects. Despite having the same two aspects, there will be differences in intensity and behavior displayed to others. Besides that only subject 2 and subject 3 have aspects of Neuroticism, subject 1 and subject 2 have aspects of Openness to Experience, and subject 1 and subject 3 which have aspects of Conscientiousness. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapat gambaran yang mendalam mengenai kepribadian pada Female Solo Traveller berdasarkan teori Big Five McCrae dan Costa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Metode kualitatif digunakan untuk mendapatkan informasi yang mendalam dari setiap subjek. Metode pengambilan data yang digunakan adalah metode observasi dan wawancara kepada setiap subjek. Dalam penelitian ini, subjek merupakan seorang Traveller perempuan yang melakukan perjalanannya seorang diri ke berbagai daerah atau negara tanpa menggunakan jasa travel atau group tour. Hasil dari penelitian ini memperlihatkan adanya persamaan dan perbedaan dari setiap subjek terhadap aspek yang terdapat pada teori Big Five. Kesamaan pada setiap subjek terdapat pada dimensi Ekstraversi (Extraversion) dan Keramahan (Agreeableness). Aspek yang mempunyai kesamaan pada setiap subjek, yang pertamayaitu setiap subjek memiliki aspek Keramahan (Agreeableness), sedangkan untuk aspek Ekstraversi (Extraversion) tidak ditemukan pada ketiga subjek. Meskipun memiliki dua aspek yang sama, akan ada perbedaan intensitas dan perilaku yang ditampilkan kepada orang lain. Selain itu hanya subjek 2 dan subjek 3 memiliki aspek Neurotisme(Neuroticism), subjek 1 dan subjek 2 memiliki aspek Keterbukaan(Openness to Experience), dan subjek 1 dan subjek 3 yang memiliki aspek Kesadaran (Conscientiousness).
