Abstract

In an industry, machines and tools are the most important supporting facilities for smooth production. In order to compete with others, an industry must work effectively and efficiently. This way of working can be achieved if the industry is supported by a good management system and the right production support machines. Mixer is the most important supporting means for smooth production in the mixing process. There are many mixer machines that exist, howeverin the market for a centrifugal mixer machine is still relatively expensive. Therefore, a centrifugal mixer was designed without this paddler which aims to be able to save on machine manufacturing costs so as to produce a more affordable price, more innovative and effective in mixing, has good quality uses. The method in designing this centrifugal mixer is to survey the needs of the community, study literature, then do a concept design, then design it according to the calculations that have been planned with the results in the form of an image design. From this method is able to produce a predetermined design of a centrifugal mixer machine. In making the design, this centrifugal mixer machine is made with the SolidWorks 2014 software application which aims to design machine parts that can be represented in 2D or 3D so that a suitable depiction can be created according to the tool to be designed. This centrifugal mixer machine uses an electric motor with smaller power, the incoming energy comes from electrical energy. Components such as the body are made of acrylic material, while the container uses a tube (sample container). This machine functions to mix liquid ingredients and dry solids (powder). So that based on the proposed method through setting the rotational speed, this centrifugal mixer machine can produce a relatively faster mixing process. Keywords: mixer, centrifugal mixer, solidworks Dalam sebuah industri, mesin dan alat merupakan sarana penunjang paling penting bagi kelancaran produksi. Untuk dapat bersaing dengan yang lain suatu industri harus bekerja secara efektif dan efisien. Cara kerja yang demikian dapat dicapai bila industri tersebut didukung oleh sistem manajemen yang baik dan mesin penunjang produksi yang tepat. Mixer merupakan sarana penunjang paling penting bagi kelancaran produksi dalam proses pencampuran. Ada banyak mesin mixer yang ada, namun di pasaran untuk sebuah mesin mixer sentrifugal masih tergolong mahal. Oleh karena itu dirancang lah mesin mixer sentrifugal tanpa paddler ini yang bertujuan agar mampu menghemat biaya pembuatan mesin sehingga menghasilkan harga yang lebih terjangkau, lebih inovatif dan efektif dalam pencampuran, serta memiliki kegunaan dengan kualitas yang baik. Metode dalam perancangan mixer sentrifugal ini ialah dengan melakukan survei kebutuhan masyarakat, studi literatur, kemudian melakukan perancangan konsep, kemudian dirancang sesuai perhitungan yang telah direncanakan dengan hasil berupa desain gambar. Dari metode tersebut mampu menghasilkan perancangan mesin mixer sentrifugal yang telah ditentukan. Dalam pembuatan desainnya, mesin mixer sentrifugal ini dibuat dengan aplikasi software SolidWorks 2014 yang bertujuan untuk merancang part per mesin yang dapat direpresentasikan secara 2D ataupun 3D sehingga dapat tercipta penggambaran yang sesuai dengan alat yang akan dirancang. Mesin mixer sentrifugal ini menggunakan motor listrik yang berdaya lebih kecil, energi masuknya berasal dari energi listrik. Komponen seperti body terbuat dari bahan akrilik, sedangkan wadahnya menggunakan tabung (wadah sampel). Mesin ini berfungsi untuk melakukan proses pencampur bahan liquid dan bahan padat kering (serbuk) sehingga berdasarkan metode yang diusulkan melalui pengaturan kecepatan putaran, mesin mixer sentrifugal ini dapat menghasilkan proses pencampuran yang relatif lebih cepat.
