Abstract

The cause of accidents in elevators is that the lift is often not in accordance with the needs of the building or building and that some of the safety features in the elevator are not working properly. The elevator in the Mercu Buana University building is very important as an access in supporting lecture activities consisting of 5 faculties and 1 postgraduate program currently has a total student population of around 27,923, with a total number of lecturers as many as 695. The purpose of this study is to determine the needs analysis and the elevator maintenance process. at the Mercu Buana University Tower Building. The method used in this research is to use quantitative methods. The quantitative method was chosen because the research process uses data coverage in the form of numbers and statistics. The results of the study conclude that there is a mismatch between the need for elevators at the Tower Building at Mercu Buana University Jakarta and the actual situation. It is known that the calculation results of the need for lift are 3 units with a transport capacity in one day of approximately 440 students, while the currently available lifts are 2 units. The elevator maintenance process carried out at the Mercu Buana University Tower Building is in accordance with the standards and procedures based on the Regulation of the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia Number 6 of 2017 concerning Occupational Safety and Health (K3) Elevators and Escalators. Penyebab terjadinya kecelakaan pada lift dikerenakan bahwa lift seringkali tidak sesuai dengan kebutuhan di gedung atau bangunan tersebut serta beberapa fitur keselamatan pada lift tidak bekerja dengan baik. Lift pada gedung Universitas Mercu Buana sangat penting sekali sebagai akses dalam mendukung kegiatan perkuliahan yang terdiri dari 5 fakultas dan 1 program pascasarjana saat ini memliki jumlah mahasiswa sekitar 27.923, dengan total jumlah dosen sebanyak 695. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui analisis kebutuhan dan proses perawatan lift pada Gedung Tower Universitas Mercu Buana. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Metode kuantitatif dipilih karena proses penelitian yang menggunakan cakupan data berupa angka-angka dan statistik. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa adanya ketidaksesuaian antara kebutuhan lift pada Gedung Tower Universitas Mercu Buana Jakarta dengan keadaan sebenarnya. Diketahui hasil perhitungan kebutuhan lift sebanyak 3 unit dengan kapasitas angkut dalam satu hari kira-kira 440 mahasiswa, sedangkan lift yang tersedia saat ini adalah sebanyak 2 unit. Proses perawatan lift yang dilakukan pada Gedung Tower Universitas Mercu Buana sudah sesuai dengan standart dan prosedur berdasarkan Peraturan Menteri Ketenagakerjaan Republik Indonesia Nomor 6 Tahun 2017 Tentang Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) Elevator dan Eskalator.
