Abstract

The study with title "Improving the Quality of Telkomsel Operators Network in the Akasa Apartment Indoor Area Using the Walktest Method" is expected to improve the network quality of Telkomsel operators in buildings that experience complaints such as slow internet connection networks and telephone calls that often experience interference. The assumption to overcome this problem is to collect data using the walktest method and pairing a DAS (Distribution Antenna System) device which serves as an alternative to improve signal quality in a building to meet the main performance indicator standards of telecommunications operators. The assumptions are made by taking sample data in the Akasa Apartment building, namely the ground floor, 2nd and 5th floors which have the worst RSCP (Received Signal Code Power) and Ec-No (Energy Carrier Per Noice) parameter values among the other floors. In this study, it is reviewed from the parameter values of RSCP (Received Signal Code Power) and Ec-No (Energy Carrier Per Noice) which must comply with the standards of the Telkomsel operator, namely RSCP ≥ -95 dBm and Ec-No ≥ -12 dB must be ≥ 95% and the result is that before the installation of the DAS equipment, the RSCP parameter value that meets the standards is obtained, but the Ec-No value does not meet the standards of the Telkomsel operator, which is 53.1%. After the process of installing the DAS device and retrieval of data using the Walktest method, it was found that the Ec-No value increased from 53.1% to 92.16%. Keywords: Walktest, DAS, RSCP, Ec-No, KPI, Telecommunication, Coverage, QoS Penelitian yang berjudul “Peningkatan Kualitas Jaringan Operator Telkomsel pada Area Indoor Apartment Akasa Menggunakan Metode Walktest” ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas jaringan operator telkomsel pada Gedung yang mengalami keluhan seperti jaringan koneksi internet yang lambat dan panggilan telfon yang sering mengalami gangguan Adapun asumsi untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut adalah melakukan pengambilan data dengan menggunakan metode walktest dan memasangkan perangkat DAS (Distribution Antenna System) yang berfungsi sebagai alternatif untuk meningkatkan kualitas sinyal pada sebuah gedung agar memenuhi standar indikator kinerja utama dari operator telekomunikasi. Adapun asumsi yang dilakukan dengan pengambilan data sample pada gedung Apartment Akasa yaitu lantai dasar, lantai 2 dan 5 yang memiliki nilai parameter RSCP (Received Signal Code Power) dan Ec-No (Energy Carrier Per Noice) paling buruk diantara lantai lainnya. Pada penelitian ini ditinjau dari nilai parameter RSCP (Received Signal Code Power) dan Ec-No (Energy Carrier Per Noice) yang harus sesuai standar dari operator telkomsel yaitu RSCP ≥ -95 dBm dan Ec-No ≥ -12 dB harus ≥ 95% dan hasilnya adalah sebelum terpasangnya perangkat DAS di dapatkan nilai parameter RSCP yang sudah memenuhi standar namun nilai Ec-No tidak memenuhi standar dari operator Telkomsel yaitu sebesar 53.1%. Setelah proses penginstallan perangkat DAS dan dilakukan pengambilan data ulang menggunakan metode Walktest didapatkan hasil peningkatan nilai Ec�No yang sebelumnya 53.1% naik menjadi 92.16%.
