Abstract

In this study, an analysis of the use of Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) as raw material for the Biogas Power Plant (PLTBg) at PT. Perdana Inti Sawit Perkasa 1, located in Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau. PKS PT. Perdana Inti Sawit Perkasa 1 is a private palm oil mill with a production capacity of up to 60 tonnes / hour. The type of data used in this analysis is secondary data which includes processed FFB data and the discharge of waste produced by the factory. By utilizing the levels of COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) and discharge of POME waste as raw material for PLTBg in the PKS PT. Perdana Inti Sawit Perkasa 1 uses closed lagoon production technology obtained by CH4 of 17491 / day with a potential electrical energy of 3.032 MWe with an active digester volume of 42870. Results of analysis of POME utilization at PT. Perdana Inti Sawit Perkasa 1, if used as raw material for the Biogas Power Plant (PLTBg), can generate electric power using the reference pond 2 of 3,032 MWe, getting the cost of production per kWh of PLTBg POME of Rp. 1,692 / kWh. Key words: POME, Alternative Energy, Oil Palm Pada penelitian ini dilakukan analisa potensi pemanfaatan Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) sebagai bahan baku Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Biogas (PLTBg) di PKS PT. Perdana Inti Sawit Perkasa 1 yang terletak di Kabupaten Rokan Hulu, Riau. PKS PT. Perdana Inti Sawit Perkasa 1 merupakan pabrik kelapa sawit swasta yang memiliki kapasitas produksi mencapai 60 ton/jam. Jenis data digunakan dalam analisa ini yaitu data sekunder yang meliputi data TBS olah dan debit limbah yang dihasilkan pabrik. Dengan memanfaatan kadar COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) dan debit limbah POME tersebut sebagai bahan baku PLTBg di PKS PT. Perdana Inti Sawit Perkasa 1 menggunakan teknologi covered lagoon didapat produksi CH4 sebesar 17491 m3 / hari dengan potensi energi listrik sebesar 3,032 MWe dengan volume active digester sebesar 42870 m3 . Hasil analisa potensi pemanfaatan POME pada PT. Perdana Inti Sawit Perkasa 1 ini jika digunakan sebagai bahan baku Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Biogas (PLTBg) dapat membangkitkan daya listrik menggunakan referensi kolam 2 sebesar 3,032 MWe, didapatkan harga pokok produksi per kWh PLTBg POME sebesar Rp 1.692 / kWh.
