Abstract

ABSTRAK Seperti yang diketahui, bahwa dalam produksi semen menyumbang terjadinya pemanasan global akibat emisi gas CO2 yang cukup besar. Fly Ash adalah salah satu material yang dipakai sebagai subtitusi semen untuk mengurangi penggunaan semen sehingga produksi semen bisa ditekan seminimal mungkin. Dengan perkembangan zaman dan teknologi, fly ash digunakan sebagai subtitusi semen pada beton mutu tinggi dengan penggunaan fly ash volume tinggi. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh fly ash dengan volume tinggi terhadap panas hidrasi dan sifat mekanis (kelecakan, densitas, penyerapan, waktu ikat awal dan kuat tekan) pada beton mutu tinggi. Adapun variasi penggunaan fly ash yang digunakan adalah 0%, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%. Hasil pengujian panas hidrasi mendapatkan nilai puncak panas hidrasi dengan persentase fly ash 0%, 20%, 40, 60%, 80% adalah 58.51oC, 50.59oC, 37.96oC, 33.76oC, 30.20oC. Untuk hasil tes kuat tekan 28 hari adalah 50.2 MPa, 48.9 MPa, 48.6 MPa, 32.8 MPa, 15.6 MPa. Untuk penyerapan beton didapat hasil 0.60%, 0.80%, 0.80%, 0.70%, 0.50%, adapun untuk hasil kelecakan dan densitas beton semakin banyak menggunakan persentase fly ash maka semakin rendah nilai kelecakan dan densitas beton. Selanjutnya semakin banyak penggunaan persentase fly ash maka waktu ikat awal akan semakin lama. Fly Ash is one of the materials used as cement substitution to reduce the use of cement so that cement production can be reduced to a minimum. With the times and technology, fly ash is used as cement substitution in high strength concrete with the use of high volume fly ash. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of high-volume fly ash on hydration heat and mechanical properties (workability, density, absorption, initial setting time and compressive strength) on high strength concrete. The variation in the use of fly ash used is 0%, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%. The heat hydration test results get the value of heatt hydration peak with the percentage of fly ash 0%, 20%, 40, 60%, 80% are 58.51oC, 50.59oC, 37.96oC, 33.76oC, 30.20oC. The results of the 28-day compressive strength test are 50.2 MPa, 48.9 MPa, 48.6 MPa, 32.8 MPa, 15.6 MPa. For the absorption of concrete the results are 0.60%, 0.80%, 0.80%, 0.70%, 0.50%, as for increase using the percentage of fly ash, the lower the value of the workability and density of the concrete. Furthermore, the more use of the percentage of fly ash then the initial setting time will be longer.
