Abstract

In this research, a rectangular array 1x4 patch microstrip antenna will be discussed using the peripheral slits method at a frequency of 28 GHz for 5G wireless communication. Having a design from a single element to a 1x4 array, a slit periperal method is added to reduce the size of the microstrip antenna and other miniaturization techniques to obtain a compact antenna size. Microstrip antenna design using software ansys electromagnetics HFSS (High Frequency Electromagnetic proposed Simulation). From the research results of the designed antenna, the bandwidth width is 4.06 GHz, the return loss value is -55.10, and the Gain is 8.01 dB. The Tapared Peripheral Slits method used in antenna design in this study serves to increase return loss. Based on the antenna parameters obtained during antenna design, simulation and fabrication, the antenna design made rectangular for 5G wireless communication at a frequency of 28 GHz is according to specifications. Keywords : Mikrostrip Antena, Array,Rectangular, Tapared Peripheral Slits Pada penelitian ini akan dijelaskan tentang antena mikrostrip patch rectangular array 1x4 dengan metode peripheral slits pada frekuensi 28 GHz untuk komunikasi nirkabel 5G. Memiliki desain dari single element sampai array 1x4 ditambahkan metode tapared periperal slit untuk mereduksi ukuran antena mikrostrip dan teknik – teknik miniaturisasi ukuran lainnya agar didapatkan dimensi antena yang compact. Desain antena mikrostrip menggunakan software ansys electromagnetics HFSS (High Frequency Electromagnetic filed simulation). Dari hasil penelitian antena yang di desain didapatkan lebar bandwidth 4.06 GHz, nilai return loss sebesar -55.10, dan Gain 8.01 dB. Metode Tapared Peripheral Slits yang digunakan dalam perancangan antena pada penelitian ini berfungsi untuk meningkatkan return loss. Berdasarkan parameter antena yang didapat saat perancangan, simulasi dan fabrikasi antena, maka perancangan antena yang dibuat berbentuk rectangular untuk komunikasi nirkabel 5G pada frekuensi 28 GHz telah sesuai spesifikasi.
