Abstract

In this final project, the writer analyzes the Fiber To The Home (FTTH) network design with a distance of more than 8 KM using outdoor mini OLT technology. The area location in this optical network plan is Jl. Cicariu, Cikalong Wetan, West Bandung. Previous research has made analysis of the FTTH network configuration with a mini OLT device for indihome services at PT Telkom Akses Witel Bandung Barat. However, in this final project, we will specifically discuss if the distance between Telkom offices and customers is more than 8 KM in order to minimize the occurrence of disruption. The research was conducted by interviewing and observing the network object and FTTH components belonging to Telkom West Bandung Regency and through the library method by searching some literature. In this design, the device specifications will be determined, the maximum length of the FO cable, the FTTx network deployment model, the total end-to-end attenuation (link budget) and the cost requirement (RAB). The application used for the design is Google Earth. From the analysis carried out in this final project, the results obtained are, the total length of the cable as a whole is 15,080 meters. In addition, the total ODP designed is 12 ODP with a capacity of 8 ports, 96 subscribers. The design without mini OLT obtained an upstream value of 28.778 dB and a downstream value of 27.7224 dB, so it can be concluded that the design process is not in accordance with the feasibility standard. While the design with mini OLT obtained an upstream value of 24.0185 dB and a downstream value of 23.8148 dB, so it can be concluded that the design process is in accordance with the feasibility standard. In addition, FTTH network design requires calculation of the budget in route placement and the selection of network element materials. Pada tugas akhir ini penulis menganalisis mengenai perancangan jaringan Fiber To The Home (FTTH) dengan jarak lebih dari 8 KM menggunakan teknologi outdoor mini OLT. Lokasi wilayah dalam rencana jaringan optik ini adalah Jl. Cicariu, Cikalong Wetan, Bandung Barat. Penelitian sebelumnya telah dibuat analisa konfigurasi jaringan FTTH dengan perangkat mini OLT untuk layanan indihome di PT Telkom Akses witel Bandung Barat. Namun, pada tugas akhir ini akan membahas secara spesifik apabila jarak lokasi kantor Telkom ke pelanggan lebih dari 8 KM guna meminimalisir terjadinya gangguan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode wawancara dan pengamatan dengan objek jaringan dan komponen FTTH milik Telkom Kabupaten Bandung Barat serta melalui metode kepustakaan dengan pencarian beberapa literatur. Dalam perancangan ini akan ditetapkan spesifikasi perangkat, panjang maksimum kabel FO, model penggelaran jaringan FTTx, total redaman end-to-end (link budget) dan kebutuhan biaya (RAB). Aplikasi yang digunakan untuk perancangan adalah Google Earth. Dari analisis yang dilakukan pada tugas akhir ini, didapat hasil berupa, total panjang kabel secara keseluruhan adalah 15.080 meter. Selain itu, total ODP yang dirancang adalah 12 ODP dengan kapasitas 8 port, 96 pelanggan. Perancangan tanpa mini OLT didapatkan nilai upstream sebesar 28,778 dB dan nilai downstream sebesar 27,7224 dB, sehingga dapat disimpulkan proses perancangan tidak sesuai dengan standar kelayakan. Sedangkan perancangan dengan mini OLT didapatkan nilai upstream sebesar 24,0185 dB dan nilai downstream sebesar 23,8148 dB, sehingga dapat disimpulkan proses perancangan sesuai dengan standar kelayakan. Selain itu, perancangan jaringan FTTH memerlukan perhitungan terhadap anggaran dalam penempatan rute serta pemilihan material network element.
