Abstract

Penerepan jaringan Wi-Fi semakin mudah, bahkan sekarang dapat di temui pada kedai – kedai kopi kecil sekalipun. Jadi bukan sesuatu hal yang sulit untuk di terapkan pada kedai kopi yang terletak di bandara. Namun penerapan pada bangunan dapat dihadapkan dengan beberapa permasalahan seperti coverage area, dan aspek propagasi yang pada penelitian sebelumnya tentang pengoptimasian jaringan Wi-Fi pada ruang perkuliahan (Widyaningsih, 2013) oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan perhitungan dan pengamatan yang sesuai, sehingga dari pengamatan tersebut dihasilkan perancangan yang efektif. Dengan power transmit maksimal sebesar 18 dBm didapatkan nilai RSL (Received Signal Strength) sebesar -40,1 dBm yang mana dapat dikatakan bahwa sinyal yang dipancarkan dalam keadaan baik karena RSL ≥ Rth yang memiliki nilai sebesar -92 dBm. Dan diketahui juga nilai SOM yang di dapat sebesar 51 dB. Dengan nilai ini dapat diketahui bahwa sinyall yang terpancar dapat diakatakan baik. Berdasarkan jangkauan Access Point dan kapasitas client, jumlah kebutuhan Access Point minimal 2 Access Point untuk melayani kebutuhan jaringan client. Hasil penerapan menggunakan 2 Access Point dengan power transmit sebesar 18 dBm dan juga penerepan kanal yang berbeda, menghasilkan rata – rata nilai RSSI -65 dBm hingga -48 dBm dimana dapat diartikan sinyal yang dipancarkan sangat baik ( Very good). Kata kunci : Access Point, Link Budget, RSSI, SOM, WiTuners Wi-Fi is even easier, even now it can be found in small coffee shops. So it's not something that is difficult to apply to coffee shops in the airport. In the coverage area, and the propagation aspects of previous research on optimizing Wi-Fi networks in the lecture room (Widyaningsih, 2013), therefore it is necessary to calculate and research accordingly, so as to be seen from the results of the research that resulted in effective design. With a maximum transmit power of 18 dBm an RSL (Received Signal Strength) value of -40.1 dBm can be received as a signal emitted in good condition because RSL ≥ Rth has a value of -92 dBm. And also a SOM value that can be equal to 51 dB. With a value that can be thought of, all that radiated can be acquired properly. Based on the reach of Access Points and client capacity, the number of Access Points needs is at least 2 Access Points to meet the needs of the client's network. The result of the application uses 2 Access Points with a transmit power of 18 dBm and also different channel lighting, resulting in an average RSSI value of -65 dBm to -48 dBm which can be interpreted by the signal emitted very well (Very good).
