Abstract
A gate is a point of exit or entry into a closed area that is enclosed by a barrier such as a fence or a wall. The main function of the gate is to prevent or control the flow of pedestrians and vehicle movements. To create a better traffic circulation in passing through the gates, a system is required. The parking system can create the parking areas more secure, neat, and orderly. Based on the aforementioned problem, a system that integrates vehicle identification and employee presence is created. This system is installed at the entrance and exit gates of industrial/office areas so that the employees no longer need to complete attendance activity because it is done automatically when a vehicle is identified at the gate when the gate is open. From the result of the design, a prototype of an RFID-based vehicle identification system controlled by the Arduino Mega was obtained. After being tested, RFID can read cards up to a distance of 5 cm. Furthermore, the obtained attendance database is according to the time of the tap in and tap out. Keywords: Arduino Mega, Gate, Parking System, RFID Gerbang merupakan tempat keluar atau masuk kedalam suatu kawasan tertutup yang dikelilingi pembatas seperti pagar atau dinding. Gerbang berguna untuk mencegah atau mengendalikan arus keluar-masuknya orang atau kendaraan. Agar sirkulasi kendaraan yang melalui gerbang menjadi lebih baik, perlu dibuat suatu sistem. Sistem parkir berfungsi agar tempat parkir lebih aman, rapi dan teratur. Berangkat dari masalah tersebut, dibuatlah sebuah sistem yang mengintegrasikan identifikasi kendaraan dan juga presensi karyawan. Sistem ini ditempatkan pada gerbang masuk dan keluar kawasan industri/perkantoran sehingga karyawan tidak perlu lagi melakukan presensi, karena presensi dilakukan secara otomatis ketika kendaraan teridentifikasi di gerbang ketika gerbang terbuka. Dari hasil perancangan tersebut, didapat sebuah prototipe sistem identifikasi kendaraan berbasis RFID yang dikendalikan dengan Arduino Mega. Setelah diuji coba, RFID dapat membaca kartu hingga jarak 5 cm. Dan, database presensi yang didapat sesuai dengan waktu tap in dan tap out. Kata Kunci: Arduino Mega, Gerbang, RFID, Sistem Parkir
