Abstract

Artificial lighting system is one of the interior lighting systems that has an important role in the prayer room, without adequate light, visual activity will be disrupted. In a mosque, artificial lighting is utilized at night. This research was conducted to analyze and provide optimal lighting design solutions in the male prayer room of the Istiqlal Mosque, Jakarta. The method carried out by existing measurement observations uses a lux meter measuring device the further optimization using the Relux software program. This software helps to simulate artificial lighting in the prayer room. The results of this analysis show that the artificial lighting conditions in the male prayer room of the Istiqlal Mosque have not been optimal or have not met SNI standards. So it is necessary to do several ways to optimize the level of artificial lighting through changes and additions to the type, location, and amount of artificial lighting. Keyword : Optimization, Artificial Lighting, Mosque, Design Lighting Sistem pencahayaan buatan merupakan salah satu sistem interior yang memegang peranan penting dalam ruang karena tanpa adanya cahaya yang memadai maka aktivitas visual akan terganggu. Pada bangunan masjid, pencahayaan buatan dimanfaatkan pada malam hari. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis dan memberikan solusi desain pencahayaan buatan yang optimal pada ruang sholat laki-laki Masjid Istiqlal di Jakarta. Metode yang dilakukan dengan observasi pengukuran eksisting menggunakan alat ukur lux meter untuk selanjutnya dilakukan optimalisasi dengan menggunakan program software Relux. Sofware ini membantu melakukan simulasi pencahayaan buatan pada ruang sholat. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kondisi pencahayaan buatan pada ruang sholat laki-laki Masjid Istiqlal belum optimal atau belum memenuhi standar SNI. Sehingga perlu dilakukan beberapa cara untuk mengoptimalkan tingkat pencahayaan buatan melalui perubahan dan penambahan jenis, letak, dan jumlah pencahayaan buatan.
