Abstract
ABSTRAK Proses joint sheet metal untuk part Frame pada model FV-ABC saat ini menggunakan metode spot welding, metode ini memiliki beberapa kekurangan yaitu : 1. Membutuhkan waktu proses cukup lama. 2. Proses welding tidak safety 3. Proses membutuhkan cost yang tinggi 4. Membutuhkan material cost yang tinggi 5. Defect ratio yang dihasilkan tinggi Oleh karena itu proses joint diganti menggukan metode clinching, yaitu dengan cara menggunakan mesin press, lembaran sheet metal di press sehingga membentuk kontur tertentu yang saling mengunci. Sehingga dapat mengurangi proses time yang lama, lebih safety, proses cost rendah, material cost rendah dan defect ratio yang rendah. Kata kunci : Clinching, Spot welding, Frame ABSTRACT The joint sheet metal process for part frame in the FV-ABC model, currently uses the spot welding method, this method has several disadvantages, that is : 1. Need a long process time 2. The process need high cost. 3. Expensive material cost 4. High deffect ratio Therefore, the replaced joint process uses the clinching method, which is by using a press machine, metal sheets are pressed so as to form certain contours that lock each other. So that it can reduce the long time process, more safety, low cost process, low material cost and low defect ratio Key words : Clinching, Spot welding, Frame
