Abstract

ABSTRAK Rendahnya penggunaan teknologi pertanian khususnya dalam perkebunan karet membuat penulis dan Tim berisiniatif membuat suatu alat untuk membuat penyadap karet secara semi otomatis yaitu secara elektrik. Meskipun secara umum masih menggunakan tenaga petani namun akan mempercepat pengerjaan penyadapan karet yang biasanya memiliki luas lahan dan jumlah pohon yang cukup banyak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini salah satunya menggunakan metode SWOT (Strenght Weakness Opportunity Threat) dimana membandingkan 2 alat yaitu kelebihan, kelemahan, kesempatan improvisasi yang ada baik secara kecepatan penyadapan, kestabilan pemakanan kulit, serta ancaman dari alat pembanding lain. Tempat penelitian dilakukan di Bumi Perkemahan Cibubur, hasil yang diperoleh dengan cara pengujian alat sadap elektrik dengan pengatur kecepatan atau PWM (Pulse Widht modulation) dan mencatat masing-masing penyadapan. Hasil yang didapat yaitu menggunakana alat sadap dengan PWM didapat rata – rata kecepatan penyadapan pohon karet sebesar 13.45 mm, menggunakana alat sadap semi mekanik lain sebesar 22.48 mm. Dalam pengukuran kedalaman menggunakan alat sadap dengan PWM didapat rata – rata kedalaman penyadapan pohon karet sebesar 6.55 mm, menggunakan alat sadap semi mekanik lain sebesar 4.677 mm. Pengukuran konsumsi ketebalan menggunakan alat sadap dengan PWM didapat rata – rata konsumsi ketebalan kulit sebesar 1.835 mm, menggunakan alat sadap semi mekanik lain sebesar 1.796 mm. The place of research was conducted at Cibubur Camping Site, the result obtained by testing the electric tapping device with speed regulator or PWM (Pulse Widht modulation) and record each tapping. The results obtained are using tapping tool with PWM obtained average rubber tapping rate of 13.45 mm, using other semi mechanical tapping tool of 22.48 mm. In depth measurement using tapping tool with PWM obtained average of rubber tapping depth of 6.55 mm, using other semi mechanical tapping 4,677 mm. Measurement of thickness consumption using tapping device with PWM obtained average skin thickness consumption of 1835 mm, using other semi mechanical tapping of 1796 mm.
