Abstract

ABSTRAK Penyadapan karet ialah suatu tindakan membuka pembuluh lateks yang terdapat didalam pohon karet. Kesalahan dalam melakukan penyadapan akan mengakibatkan kerugian yang besar dan akan mengakibatkan timbulnya penyakit kering alur sadap dan kerugian lainnya. Maka dari itu,bentuk desain mata pisau pun perlu dianalisa dalam pembuatan suatu alat sadap elektrik pohon karet. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tiga tahap yaitu tahap perancangan, pembuatan, dan pengujian. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa desain mata pisau yang berbentuk cekung lebih baik dari pada desain mata pisau yang berbentuk busur. Parameter penelitian berupa kedalaman sadapan, ketebalan sadapan, waktu penyayatan, dan konsumsi kulit pohon karet. Untuk desain pisau (A) dengan mata pisau berbentuk cekung menghasilkan rata-rata kedalaman 5,32 mm, ketebalan 2,17 mm, waktu penyayatan 12,38 detik, konsumsi kulit 3,45 cm3, dan kecepatan dorong pisau 0,0194 m/s. Sedangkan untuk desain pisau (B) dengan mata pisau berbentuk busur menghasilkan rata-rata kedalaman 4,11 mm, ketebalan 2,21 mm, waktu penyayatan 16,48 detik, konsumsi kulit 2,81 cm3, dan kecepatan dorong pisau 0,0184 m/s. Kata kunci: penyadapan karet, desain pisau, pengujian ABSTRACT Tapping rubber is an act of opening the latex vessels contained in the rubber tree. Errors in wiretapping will result in large losses and will lead to the emergence of dry diseases groove tapping and other losses. Therefore, the shape of the blade design also needs to be analyzed in making an electric rubber tapping tool. This research was conducted with three stages of design stage, manufacture, and testing. The test results show the design of a concave-shaped blade is better than the design of a bow-shaped blade. The research parameters are depth of lead, tap thickness, time of slicing, and rubber tree leather consumption. For the blade design (A) with the concave-shaped blade, the average depth of 5.32 mm, the thickness of 2.17 mm, the slicing time of 12.38 seconds, the leather consumption of 3.45 cm3, and the blade thrust speed 0.0194 m / s. As for the blade design (B) with bow-shaped blade produces an average depth of 4.11 mm, 2.21 mm thickness, 16.48 seconds slicing time, 2.81 cm3 leather consumption, and blade thrust speed 0.0184 m / s.
