Abstract

In an electric power distribution system, network reliability is a major factor in maintaining the continuity of electricity distribution. Minimizing disturbances and isolating those affected is an effort to maintain the reliability of electric power. The protection system plays an important role in detecting the presence of fault currents and so it can isolate any disturbances that arise. The current protection system, has the risk of failure of protection coordination during short circuit faults. So that it has the potential to cause PMT at the Cikupa Main Substation to trip (one feeder goes out). This coordination failure occurs because the CT block used in the CB (Circuit Breaker) at the CKP 340 distribution substation is saturated with the fault currents that arise. So that the fault current is not read by the CT block. Due to the limitation of the CT block ratio, a CT ring was added to make high noise current readings that the CT block could not read. Protection relay coordination problems can be analyzed by analyzing the coordination of the protection system at the Kades feeder. The analysis is done by calculating the magnitude of the disturbance currents that arise with mathematical calculations and ETAP simulations. Based on the results of calculations and simulations of ETAP, with the addition a CT ring on CKP 340, it can detect the occurrence of short circuit fault currents on the customer side. So that, with the addition of the customer side CT ring, it can reduce the impact of the disturbance currents that arise. Keywords: protection coordination, CT Ring, CT block, ETAP Dalam sistem distribusi tenaga listrik, kehandalan jaringan listrik merupakan faktor utama untuk menjaga kontinuitas penyaluran tenaga listrik. Salah satu upaya dalam menjaga kehandalan penyaluran tenaga listrik, dibutuhkan suatu sisitem proteksi untuk meminimalisir gangguan dan mengisolir titik yang terdampak gangguan. Sistem proteksi berperan penting dalam mendeteksi adanya arus gangguan. Sehingga dapat mengisolir gangguan yang timbul. Pada sistem proteksi yang sudah existing proteksi saat ini, masih memungkinkan adanya resiko terjadinya kegagalan koordinasi proteksi saat gangguan hubung singkat. Hal ini berpotensi mengakibatkan PMT (Pemutus Tenaga) di Gardu Induk Cikupa trip (padam satu feeder). Kegagalan koordinasi ini terjadi dikarenakan CT blok yang digunakan di CB (Circuit Breaker) pada gardu distribusi CKP 340 mengalami keterbatasan rasio CT blok terhadap arus gangguan yang timbul. Sehingga arus gangguan tidak terbaca CT blok. Penambahan CT ring sisi pelanggan dapat membantu melakukan pembacaan arus gangguan tinggi yang tidak terbaca CT blok. CT ring sisi pelanggan akan berfungsi hanya untuk proteksi arus gangguan yang tinggi, berbeda dengan CT blok yang berfungsi untuk metering dan proteksi. Permasalahan koordinasi relai proteksi dapat dianalisa dengan menganalisis koordinasi sistem proteksi pada feeder Kades. Analisa dilakukan dengan cara menghitung besarnya arus gangguan yang timbul dengan perhitungan matematis dan simulasi ETAP. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dan simulasi ETAP, dengan penambahan CT ring pada CKP 340 maka dapat mendeteksi timbulnya arus gangguan hubung singkat sisi pelanggan. Sehingga dengan penambahan CT ring sisi pelanggan dapat mengurangi dampak dari arus gangguan yang timbul. Kata Kunci : koordinasi proteksi, CT Ring, CT blok, ETAP
