Abstract

In the era of the COVID-19 pandemic, Indonesia became one of the countries that enforced Work From Home and online schools, so the demand for internet networks increased. Telecommunication is one of the important supporting factors in the implementation of Work From Home and online schools, one of the operators that plays an important role is Indosat Ooredoo. To determine the effect of COVID-19 on the 3G and 4G networks at Indosat ooredoo, data analysis was carried out on the network in several Micro Clusters that has the highest confirmedd cases of COVID-19 in Indonesia, namely : DKI Jakarta, Central Java, East java, and South Sulawesi. In this final project, the authors conducted a comparison of network performance before and when Large-scale Social Retrictions were implemented using Equipment Under Test and Speed Test by Ookla methods. Based on the results of data collection and analysis carried out for 6 months, from January 1, 2020 to June 30, 2020. This research has the results: DKI Jakarta on EUT 3G below KPI with download speeds of 0.85 Mbps or decreased 0.46 Mbps from before PSBB, Central Java None of the methods and technologies were below KPI even though the EUT 3G decreased 0.43 Mbps, East Java on Ookla 4G below KPI with a download speed of 1.15 Mbps or decreased 2.08 Mbps from before PSBB, and South Sulawesi on EUT 4G below KPI with a download speed of 1.18 Mbps or decreased 1.17 Mbps from before PSBB. Therefore, in this final project it is stated that COVID-19 affects each Micro Cluster with different methods, technologies and increased and decreased levels. Keyword : COVID-19, Equipment Under Test, Speed Test by Ookla Pada era pandemi COVID-19 Indonesia menjadi salah satu negara yang memberlakukan Work From Home dan sekolah daring, sehingga pemintaan akan jaringan internet meningkat. Telekomunikasi adalah salah satu faktor pendukung penting dalam penyelenggaraan Work From Home dan sekolah daring, salah satu operator yang berperan penting adalah Indosat Ooredoo. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh COVID-19 terhadap jaringan 3G dan 4G di Indosat Ooredoo, maka dilakukan analisa data pada jaringan di beberapa Micro Cluster yang memiliki kasus terkonfirmasi COVID-19 tertinggi di Indonesia, yaitu: DKI Jakarta, Jawa Tengah, Jawa Timur, dan Sulawesi Selatan. Pada tugas akhir ini, penulis melakukan perbandingan performa jaringan sebelum dan saat Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar di berlakukan dengan metode Equipment Under Test dan Speed Test by Ookla. Berdasarkan hasil pengumpulan data dan analisa yang dilakukan selama 6 bulan, pada tanggal 1 Januari 2020 sampai dengan 30 Juni 2020. Penelitian ini mendapatkan hasil : DKI Jakarta pada EUT 3G below KPI dengan kecepatan download 0.85 Mbps atau decreased 0.46 Mbps dari sebelum PSBB, Jawa tengah pada semua metode dan teknologinya tidak ada yang below KPI meski pada EUT 3G decreased 0.43 Mbps, Jawa Timur pada Ookla 4G below KPI dengan kecepatan download 1.15 Mbps atau decreased 2.08 Mbps dari sebelum PSBB, dan Sulawesi Selatan pada EUT 4G below KPI dengan kecepatan download 1.18 Mbps atau decreased 1.17 Mbps dari sebelum PSBB. Oleh karena itu, pada tugas akhir ini dinyatakan bahwa COVID-19 berpengaruh pada setiap Micro Cluster yang metode, teknologi serta tingkat increased dan decreased yang berbeda – beda.
