Abstract

Cold storage is equipment used to maintain product quality at a certain temperature. This equipment is very vital in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical and other industrial chains that involve low temperature factors in maintaining their products. A supermarket that sells processed food products or other products requires cold storage to store and maintain so that the products sold can last a long time as well as in the fishing industry. The design of this cold storage temperature monitoring system is based on the Internet of Things (IoT) using a Telegram Bot which can detect cold storage temperatures with a DS18B20 temperature sensor. The DS18B20 sensor is used to determine the temperature conditions in cold storage, which is then processed on the Esp32 Dev-Kit microcontroller after which it is forwarded to the Telegram platform in the form of a messenger. The hardware acts as a control center and sends data to Telegram. The Telegram platform functions to display readings in the form of messengers in real-time. The results in the test were obtained based on the readings of the DS18B20 temperature sensor when compared with the thermometer the results obtained were very accurate with an average error of 0.85%. What often happens when receiving notifications on Telegram really depends on the internet speed used. The average delay that occurred when testing this tool was around 0.48 seconds. Keywords : Cold Storage, DS18B20, Dev-Kit Esp32, IoT, Bot Telegram Cold storage adalah peralatan yang digunakan untuk menjaga kualitas produk pada suhu tertentu. Peralatan ini sangat vital dalam rantai industri makanan, minuman, obat-obatan dan lain-lain yang melibatkan faktor suhu rendah dalam menjaga produknya. Sebuah supermarket yang menjual produk makanan olahan atau produk lainnya memerlukan cold storage untuk menyimpan dan menjaga agar produk yang dijual dapat bertahan lama demikian juga halnya dalam industri perikanan. Perancangan sistem monitoring suhu cold storage ini berbasis Internet Of Things (IoT) menggunakan Bot Telegram yang dapat mendeteksi suhu cold storage dengan sensor suhu DS18B20. Sensor DS18B20 digunakan untuk mengetahui kondisi suhu pada cold storage yang kemudian data diproses pada mikrokontroler Dev-Kit ESP32 setelah itu diteruskan ke platform Telegram yang berbentuk messenger. Perangkat keras bertindak sebagai pusat kendali akan mengirimkan data ke Telegram, Platform Telegram berfungsi untuk menampilkan hasil pembacaan dalam bentuk messenger secara real-time. Hasil dalam pengujian diperoleh berdasarkan pembacaan sensor suhu DS18B20 saat dibandingkan dengan termometer hasil yang didapat sangat akurat dengan rata-rata error 0.85%. Hal yang sering terjadi saat penerimaan notifikasi pada Telegram sangat bergantung pada kecepatan internet yang digunakan.
