Abstract

Flooding is one of the disasters that become obstacles in carrying out daily activities, hampering one's routine and reducing one's productivity. But people often forget that flooding can occur due to trivial matters, but have a wide impact. Floods usually always hit when the intensity of the rain is high, but the lack of public awareness and the discovery of floods often causes problems. The impact of flooding can be reduced if the people in indonesia is better prepared to deal with the coming flood. One way is to disseminate flood information quickly to the people. The Internet of Things is a technology that is currently developing. By utilizing the Internet of Things technology to disseminate information on flood early warning. Therefore, this study was made so that it can utilize Internet of Things technology as much as possible in the case of people who want to avoid flooding on highways while driving. To realize this innovation the author uses the NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller as the main system of this tool, this tool is connected to the internet and sends the results of data to the firebase database as a cloud storage media. This device produces data after being tested, and obtained data with 100% accuracy because it uses soil moisture sensors, namely sensors that function as water detectors, sensor readings work very smoothly and so does the speed of sending data by sensors sent to andorid applications. Key Word : Firebase, Soil Moisture Sensor, Internet Of Things, Flood Detection System, Floods Banjir merupakan salah satu bencana yang menjadi kendala dalam menjalankan aktifitas sehari – hari, menghambat rutinitas seseorang dan mengurangi produktifitas seseorang. Namun masyarakat sering kali melupakan bahwa banjir bisa terjadi akibat hal sepele, namun berdampak luas. Banjir biasanya selalu melanda saat intensitas hujan tinggi, namun minimnya kesadaran masyarakat dan ketahuan prihal banjir sering kali banjir menimbulkan masalah. Dampak dari banjir dapat dikurangi jika masyarakat lebih siap dalam menghadapi datangnya banjir tersebut. Salah satu caranya adalah dengan menyebarkan informasi banjir dijalan secara cepat ke masyarakat. Internet of Things adalah teknologi yang sedang berkembang saat ini. Dengan memanfaatkan teknologi Internet of Things untuk penyebaran informasi mengenai peringatan dini banjir. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini dibuat agar bisa memanfaatkan teknologi Internet of Things semaksimal mungkin dalam halnya bagi masyarakat yang ingin menghindari banjir pada jalan raya saat sedang berkendara. Untuk mewujudkan inovasi tersebut penulis menggunakan mikrokontroller NodeMCU ESP8266 sebagai sistem utama alat ini, alat ini terhubung ke internet dan mengirimkan hasil data ke database firebase sebagai media penyimpanan cloud. Rancang bangun ini menghasilkan data setelah di uji coba, dan didapatkan data dengan tingkat akurasi 100% karena memakai Sensor soil moisture yaitu sensor yang berfungsi sebagai pendeteksi air, pembacaan sensor bekerja sangat lancar dan begitu juga kecepatan pengiriman data oleh sensor yang dikirimkan ke aplikasi andorid.
