Abstract

Switch house is a room that contains electrical equipment both power and control equipment. For example, switchgear, variable speed drive, and Uninteruptible Power Supply (UPS). The condition of the room in the switch house must be in accordance with international standards that govern it, namely NFPA 70B on atmosphere and environment. In the 2013 edition of the NFPA 70B standard page 23 it is stated that the temperature inside the switch house must be maintained at 15 - 29 ºC (60 - 88 ºF) and air humidity 40 - 70%. Measurements of temperature and humidity in the switch house are only displayed on the LCD contained in the switch house. This condition allows condensation in the control panels. Therefore, this final project research will create a system of monitoring and control of temperature and humidity of switch house based on an IoT (Internet of Things). This system uses the Wemos D1 Mini as the MCU (Main Control Unit) and DHT-22 as a temperature and humidity sensor that connected to the ThingSpeak platform via the internet. Temperature data and humidity can be seen from a cell phone using the Virtuino application. The alarm feature is added so users can immediately respond when unexpected conditions happends. From the results of testing, this tool works very well with the reading error percentage for the temperature of 1.87% and 3.99% for humidity. The results of reading the temperature and humidity can be directly seen on the cell phone anytime, anywhere. The alarm also runs well to anticipate unsafe conditions. Keywords: Switch house, condensation, Wemos D1 Mini, DHT-22, ThingSpeak, Virtuino Switch house adalah sebuah ruangan yang berisi peralatan listrik baik peralatan daya maupun kontrol. Misalnya switchgear, variable speed drive, dan Uninteruptible Power Supply (UPS). Kondisi ruangan dalam switch house harus sesuai dengan standar internasional yang mengaturnya, yaitu NFPA 70B tentang athmosphere and environment. Dalam standar NFPA 70B edisi 2013 hal 23 disebutkan bahwa temperatur di dalam switch house harus dijaga di 15 – 29 ºC ( 60 – 88 ºF) dan kelembaban udara 40 – 70%. Pengukuran temperatur dan kelembaban udara di switch house hanya di tampilkan pada LCD yang terdapat di dalam switch house. Kondisi ini memungkinkan terjadinya kondensasi pada panel-panel kontrol tersebut. Oleh karena itu, penelitian tugas akhir ini akan membuat sistem monitoring dan kontrol temperatur dan kelembaban udara pada switch house berbasis IoT (Internet of Things). Sistem ini menggunakn Wemos D1 Mini sebagai MCU (Main Control Unit) dan DHT-22 sebagai sensor temperatur dan kelembaban udara yang terhubung dengan platform ThingSpeak melalui internet. Data temperatur dan kelembaban udara dapat dilihat dari ponsel dengan menggunakan aplikasi Virtuino. Fitur alarm ditambahkan agar pengguna dapat langsung merespon apabila terjadi kondisi yang tidak diinginkan. Dari hasil pengujian, alat ini bekerja dengan sangat baik dengan presenstase error pemabacaan untuk temperatur 1,87% dan kelembaban udara 3,99%. Hasil pembacaan temperatur dan kelembaban udara dapat langsung dilihat pada ponsel kapanpun dan dimanapun. Alarm juga berjalan dengan baik guna mengantisipasi kondisi yang tidak diinginkan.
