Abstract

PT Pola Artistika Perkasa (PARP) is one of Pola Group’s Subsdiaries supplies various types of material for building construction. In providing inventory to supply various types of material, it is necessary to have a good inventory control and in accoradance with the demand of cutomer. The problem that often occurs is the discrepancy between the level of ordering material with the level of demand by the customer and also affects the available stock. Many factors include the company still has weaknesses in inventory planning based solely on average product demand in the past few months, the influence of lead time of imported products that are uncertain, and also inventory of products in warehouses is still quite high. Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) is one of method used to measure inventory levels that minimize the total cost of storing inventory and ordering costs. In this research, using Moving Average forecasting method and single exponential smoothing method. The EOQ method used is Continuous Review System and Periodic Review System Method. The best forecasting result is Single Exponential Smoothing using alpha = 0.9 with the smallest error value. Next forecast for 12 period using Continuous Review System and Periodic Review System Method and the best result of EOQ method is Continuous Review System with the overall cost is Rp 45,018,065. So using EOQ method with Periodic Review System in PARP can minimize total inventory cost. PT Pola Artistika Perkasa (PARP) adalah salah satu anak perusahaan dari Pola Group yang menyediakan berbagai macam tipe material untuk bidang konstruksi. Dalam menyediakan persediaan berbagai jenis material, perlu untuk memiliki kontrol persdiaan yang baik dan sesuai dengan permintaan pelanggan. Masalah yang sering terjadi adalah ketidaksesuaian antara tingkat pemesanan material dengan tingkat permintaan oleh pelanggan dan juga mempengaruhi stok yang tersedia. Banyak faktor termasuk perusahaan masih memiliki kelemahan dalam perencanaan persediaan hanya berdasarkan permintaan produk rata-rata dalam beberapa bulan terakhir, pengaruh lead time produk impor yang tidak pasti, dan juga persediaan produk di gudang masih cukup tinggi. Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) adalah salah satu metode yang digunakan untuk mengukur tingkat persediaan yang meminimalkan total biaya penyimpanan persediaan dan biaya pemesanan. Dalam penelitian ini, menggunakan metode peramalan Moving Average dan metode Single Exponential Smoothing. Metode EOQ yang digunakan adalah metode Continuous Review System dan Periodic Review System. Hasil peramalan terbaik adalah metode Single Exponential Smoothing menggunakan alpha = 0,9 dengan nilai kesalahan terkecil. Peramalan material untuk 12 periode selanjutnya menggunakan Continuous Review System dan Periodic Review System. Metode dan hasil terbaik dari metode EOQ adalah Continuous Review System dengan total biaya persediaan minimum adalah Rp45,018,065. Jadi menggunakan metode EOQ dengan Continuous Review System di PARP dapat meminimalkan total biaya persediaan.
